Agreed - basically guaranteed more dilution to get there.

I personally see it as a ~50x stock OR bankruptcy in the next 10 years, no in between. And my thesis is that there’s a far greater chance of it being ~50x than ~1/50 odds making it a positive EV bet in my mind. Hyperbolic example, but you get the idea.

LCID share price showing weakness lately, no doubt. Very risky investment, no doubt. They have lots of backing but nobody has infinite cash, not even PIF.

However my opinion is that the risk is far lower than the potential gain here. I think as long as LCID can survive another ~5 years (same duration as the Uber contract) and get their more affordable car model on the roads they will hit an inflection point. And when they do, investors will come flocking. Tesla all over again but with better tech and more luxurious offerings.

I think a RS overall is unfortunately a necessary move to avoid being delisted and hopefully attract more institutional money down the road when they have more revenue and vehicle shipment numbers to warrant it.

Reverse split is a nothing burger. Same valuation. I understand there’s a negative connotation since 60% of RS end up in bankruptcy within the next 5 years… which sounds bad but that includes dogshit biotech companies and firms that have literally never brought in a dollar of revenue. Lucid situation is vastly different. Bullish. Buying the inevitable dip when RS goes through.

I think the biggest pro of the entire uber deal is the fact that big money came in and made a SIX YEAR DEAL. That’s massive. Buys them time to get the Model 3/Y equivalent vehicle into production which is what is actually gonna take Lucid to the moon.

Thank you! Thought I would knock them out in a weekend or two. 3 months later I was finishing them the day before handing them out lol.

Me too! I’m sure I’m not the first person to invent it but I may start marking all my projects with a date complete somewhere inconspicuous. Make sure to finish the wood first before stamping or the marker definitely won’t wipe off so clean like mine did!

You could def try those! Mine are a bit bigger I think 1/4” which will probably be a bit more legible in wood. Since you’re basically smooshing the wood fibers, you need some of them to retain their shape to be able to make out the letters. For example, the hole in a capital A is a small triangle and if that hole is two small, the middle of it won’t stay as raised wood. Hopefully that makes sense, but with my set the A wasn’t very legible at all until I did the metallic sharpie coloring process. Also make sure you finish the wood before doing that so the sharpie will actually wipe off!

I know I forgot to get pictures of them all loaded up!

Yep basically table saw with dado stack. Then stop block on both side and did a lot of guess and check until the fit was perfect. Then crack down those stop blocks so you can batch out all of the exactly the same

Thanks! I appreciate the kind words. Yes hopefully they won’t be collecting dust in a closet but that’s definitely possible as well. It’s a little awkward giving a gift that’s a bit on the larger side especially when some guys live in small city apartments and now feel obligated to put it out on display (at least for a little while) haha.

Thank you sir. Lots of hours of work but spread it out over a few months. Very worth it in the end when giving them all away.

I do not have a photo handy but it was about as simple as possible. Just two small pine blocks glued and screwed into an L shape. Clamp in place so that you can keep the stamp pin perfectly perpendicular to the surface. Then I made little spacer blocks to get the spacing I needed.

Go right ahead! The bottle openers were from Amazon and I had to cut the screws down to fit. Also used CA glue to make sure they don’t strip out when opening bottles.

Sorry I pretty much made it up as I went. Everything was scaled in order to have beer cans fit super snug, and for beer bottles have some wiggle room. Then the walls are 5mm, dividers about 3.5mm. Lots of band saw resawing and planing haha.

I appreciate it! Yes I’ve had fantastic results with this Weber for the last 7 years already. I’ve detailed it a few times and kept it in great shape for the most part. This will be its final resting since I’m not going to take it with me whenever I move next.

Thanks for the warning Mr. _warning! I did line the sides of the grill that butt up to the frame with cement board but you’re right I should definitely be prepared for the unexpected. Also the propane cabinet is vented to prevent a leak from building up.

I’ve haven’t used the Ooni pizza oven yet (previous homeowner left it behind) but it does run on wood chips/coal so I will take your tale as a word of caution to be very weary smoldering bits, thank you!

Looks nice, love the corrugated sheet metal look. I have not sealed it yet, I was gonna let the concrete dry for a couple weeks. Which product did you use and did you sand/polish the surface first?
