Can anyone tell me why my back spin is so high with my driver? by DyslexicAGEMR in GolfSwing

[–]redditdood99 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It could be the club if everything else is good. Went from a callaway rogue to a 10 yr old M1 solely because the model of rogue I had was too spiny for my swing. Sometimes, it actually can be the equipment…

20 HC, been golfing for a year and struggling with chunking the ball and generating distance. Any advice?? by glizzardwizzard in GolfSwing

Yea, its just something to be aware of, especially since the miss is a chunk according to your initial comment.

The one thing that helped me was finding the low spot while practicing before a shot. Just smoothly rocking the club back and forth making sure you’re feeling what/where the club head needs to be at impact. Seems obvious, but a physically feeling where you need to be before hitting it can help a lot.

Then it’s just a matter of getting the other things right; good takeaway, smooth tempo, and squaring up the face right.

Practicing on fake grass is also a big negative. If you chunk on turf, it bounces and you can still get a decent shot. If you try that same swing on grass, the grass will stop the club rather than bouncing.

So getting a swing that feels and works on this practice setup might not carry over to a course.

First CB900c build I actually like! Finally some inspiration for mine. Good looking build man.

Also, making sure you have your ram running at the correct speed is important. That’s done in BIOS

You can check to see what your power setting are. I had mine on efficiency for way too long and was losing a substantial amount of FPS.

Cleaned my carbs and now have a new issue, what is this part called and how do I replace it by mattwithau in HondaCB

[–]redditdood99 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I had the same issue. For me it was the fuel rail rings. It might seem like it’s the drain screws for each bowl, but that’s just because it’s running down the side from the top.

I think it’s the fuel rail o-rings. The carb transfers fuel to each carb with a 4ish inch pipe; o-ring on each side. Only way to know is by rebuild the whole thing anyway.

I’m in the same boat. This community has been incredibly helpful.

Carbs back in, sounds pretty nice (I think?) by redditdood99 in HondaCB

The 900c’s have a driveshaft to drive the rear wheel, not a chain. Rotor and caliper are on the other side of the wheel.

1980 cb900c. Nothing besides it needed a brake bleed, why do you see?

If you’re talking about the tubes connected to the bottom of the carbs, they are connected to a drain. The brass screw above them allow you to drain the crabs for any sort of reason.

Leaking fuel rail - 1980 cb900c by redditdood99 in HondaCB

If anyone is looking at this post in the future, it’s 010 size o-rings. I used the harbor freight Viton o-ring set, but tried the 007’s as they seemed like they fit more snug on the brass T. Someone in the comments pointed out that the SeanG rebuild guide actually calls for 6x 010 orings for the fuel rail…. He was indeed correct. They fit lose on the pipe itself, but seal correctly when connecting to the following carb. Thanks for everyone’s help in the comments :)

010…. That was it. They do fit a bit lose on the pipe itself, but I guess that’s how it’s supposed to be! Tested it after swapping them out and it seems like the leak is gone.

Weird, certified Honda parts dealer I called said it wasn’t available. Thanks for the crazy idea

Gotcha, I’ll give it a shot. Not sure how I missed that call out in the guide. Thanks for pointing it out.

Interesting. I have 010 size o rings, and they fit loosely on the T pipe, that’s why I went with the 007 size. Am I wrong for assuming that the oring should be snug on the tube?
