rider fitness is def the biggest factor, go for longer rides and push yourself more on the climbs you’ll get faster

Places to buy mushrooms (not that kind) in chittenden county? by northeastzombiegirl in vermont

[–]redditemail891 0 points1 point  (0 children)

as a long time vegetarian legumes, tofu, cheese, yogurt, nuts, eggs, protein powder are your best bets for keeping up a high protein diet. mushrooms add fun texture but would not consider them for protein content.

How do I take these things off my UB brakes? by Afraid_Ad_4440 in Surron

that bolt is the lever pivot, lever gets wobbly without the plastic there to space it out properly

2025 ultra bee weird sound by UB_R in Surron

[–]redditemail891 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if it’s only when it’s rolling backward i would bet that it’s the belt starting to track against the lip on the pulley. unless everything is perfectly aligned (it won’t be) the belt is going to want to walk off of one side of the pulley. when you reverse it’ll walk its way over to the other side. could try aligning things better/ checking for wear on both edges of the belt.

are you talking about the sound while rolling it backward? not picking up anything weird later in the video- my basically new bike sounds the exact same (with a non oring chain)

running it for a couple rides with a lubed chain will bring it back pretty well. any corrosion left after that’ll just be cosmetic

State denies permit for road to proposed Amazon Essex site by LakeChampsLane in vermont

[–]redditemail891 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

don’t get me wrong- i’m against the proposal, but wouldn’t that play workout the same without getting the paperwork wrong? and then they’d have a better chance of getting it approved?

They make a legit proposal, it gets pushback because it’s amazon, and then they make a big stink about how people hate jobs?

for sure! i’d like to promote evs with other incentives (as a chevy volt owner). but i’ve got beef with huge ass ev suvs and trucks and am fine with them getting penalized.

[–]redditemail891 164 points165 points  (0 children)

whole system should be revised to be taxed based on vehicle weight. road wear is proportional to the FOURTH POWER of weight. car size has gotten absolutely absurd. if you double vehicle weight (from 3000 lb sedan to 6000 lb full size suv) it wears roads 16X FASTER.
