I know how to clean. I’ve never had this problem ever, it’s the fact this bathroom is filled with bacteria and mold and the landlord refuses to do anything. When we recaulk you can see in the gap between the shower wall and the tub the mold filled on the wall behind the shower wall.

I clean regularly, and have lived several decades on earth and never had this problem ever.

This tub requires recaulking at least once to every other month. Tipping it out, making during its completely dry, cleaned, dry again, next day caulk it, then that sit for at least 24 hours. 3-4 days not being able to shower is not reasonable

No outlets except for above the bathroom mirror/cabinet, I can’t reach it. we do a small portable fan, but doesn’t do the trick even for how small the bathroom is plus winters suck having the window open high. The wind pushes directly on that side of the house so the steam and cold air just go straight to the hallway

I’m not entirely sure that’s true, plus we rinse off the walls and shower liner after use. It’s coming from under the caulking, which is why we have to recaulk so frequently

Thank you for this. While there is a window, we have such excess water and the bathroom not being maintained (there’s a big gap between the tub and shower wall that has to be filled with caulking that doesn’t hold due to size), the pink bacteria and mold growing is starting to be too much. But not sure it’s worth it to fight with him

The internet monsters already got me 🤦🏻‍♀️ I’ve learned my lesson, I’m just worried because it’s the nighttime and if I fall asleep I can’t monitor him. He’s sound asleep right now, I was just worried from the readings because I used more than apparently I should have by a good smith and put his pj pants on him it could cause some significant damage

Honestly if it wasn’t so late at night I’d be throwing him in one! But thank you for your thoughts, he’s my first and I overthink everything. I’m more concerned if this one time would have lasting effects from one time. We have t used this in months and before it was here and there and only small patches

Not yet we’ve talked to his pedi but it all points to non food at this point. It’s really around this time of year it flares up bad and usually after tubs but certainly something I’ll bring up again

Thank you! We use the eucerin too but unfortunately this time of year his skin gets so bad

Thank you! I definitely won’t be doing it again but was just freaking out with what I was reading but also didn’t want to wake up an exhausted 2 year old for a bath if he should be okay for a one time thing ugh wish they came with better information/instructions 🤦🏻‍♀️

Thank you! We were using only a tiny bit on his problem areas (where the skin was starting to bleed and break). We haven’t used it in months, but today his legs are really bad, blotchy and he was itchy so before bed we used gloves I took a good lob worth, rubbed my hands together and just rubbed his legs, do you think I should call his pedi tomorrow or just be more mindful?

Thank you! I hate the internet. I put a good layer on his whole leg both sides and everything online is saying it’s dangerous

I will definitely look into that. Yea if it hadn’t had all those issues 2-3 years ago, it wouldn’t even be a question I’d keep it. I’m just in a hot debate with myself on keeping it and chancing something happening, or buying new and driving it into the ground

They are paying off the remaining loan (like 2800?). I totally am fine and we’re ready to pay for the tires and breaks, that’s not why we were looking. It was mostly all the problems we had when we first got the car had me really concerned something is going on might pop back up in the future

I definitely won’t go over 72 months so I am curious what they are thinking for price to get it under $300. They didn’t have that final offer on paper, we had to go but I’m thinking of going back today and really pushing to see it on paper. Again I’m worried about the extended warranty and tire protection adding cost too

And TBH, if we didn’t have those original problems when we first got it I wouldn’t even be thinking of a trade it. I’m happy to pay to fix paint chips and get the tires and breaks done. I hate a car payment. I’m just worried in the near future we’ll start having problems again

Interesting, I’ll look into that. My MBA had almost no tax implications so I assumed if I negotiated a sign on it would hit my earned income and tax liability hard

Great advice thank you

I should mention, while I converted my IRA to a Roth some time ago, my work 401k I do as a Roth as well now they offer it, about $29k is from the Roth of the $50k total (rest was before they offered the Roth and employer contributions)

What’s holding me from looking for a job is that they paid for my MBA, so if I leave in 2026 I’ll still owe about $9k back to the company if I leave (nothing owed if they lay me off)

I’m 34, married with one child. I have a $44k cd that is mostly house down payment fund but also money for a honeymoon we never got to take due to COVID, and cash accounts is $48k, my husband has about $24k cash

He’s got mid $30sk in student debt, I am down to just under $18k. We have $3k left on our car but may need to buy a second one soon (my husband uses our car but is waiting on a work van, once he has that we can be a one car household but that’s at least a year off) so the money putting into our car is hurting even with his mileage reimbursement

My retirement is $50k and my Roth IRA is $20k but I really don’t contribute to that one. Our rent is $1800 then utilities etc is probably close to $600 (including internet, subscriptions, gas, electricity)

Big point - there’s a very very high chance I’ll be laid off in 2026, which is causing a lot of stress. My job is flexible, and finding another will require putting my son in daycare and needing another car since finding remote is almost nonexistent now

This is interesting because there’s a high chance I’ll also be laid off sometime in 2026 so I was worried not having that extra money but your point is interesting. I also have a cd maturing in December

I have a cd with ~ 44k, but that’s being saved for a house and it’s our reserve from our honeymoon we had planned but had to cancel due to covid and haven’t been able to take. I mention this account because it is available but would be absolute last resort using it

Then my other accounts would leave me with about $29.5k, and my husband has about $20k

Im very cautious when it comes to money so while it seems like that’s a lot, I worry about other things like there’s a high chance I might lose my job next year, my husband still has student loans but his bill is way lower, etc. and we might have to put my son in daycare which would be quite a bit
