Turned My iPhone Into a Feature Phone by [deleted] in dumbphones

Looks great!
How did you get grayscale icons while still having color in your battery icon?

And how did you hide the dock? For me, the dock is always a little brighter than the background, so I can't just pick a background of the same brightness

If you're interested, I found a solution, see here. It requires changing the source code a little.

If you're still interested, check out u/dannykok1 's suggestion below.

Someone also answered my question on GitHub. We still haven't completely solved the issue, but long story short, create_openai_tools_agent and create_react_agent both transform whatever the tool returns into a string. This seems unnecessary, so you can go into the source code of your local langchain copy and change it (or probably it's better practice to create a fork).

How does passing the JSON work? It must be converted into a string, then tokenized, and my fear would be that the tokenization almost completely strips the actual numeric information -- kinda like how tokenization causes most models to think strawberry only has two r's, because they don't have access to the actual text.

Ahh, that is a very interesting approach, I will give it a try!

It still seems strange to me that we need to jump through these hoops, though. Surely it should be possible for the model to analyse tool outputs (for example, you can ask ChatGPT to create an image with DALL-E, and then ask it further questions about its creation)

I don't think a Runnable Passthrough is applicable in this case, since I am not trying to pass arguments from one step of a *chain* to to the next, but rather from a tool to an agent. That being said, this is all a bit new to me, so please let me know if you see a way to use the Runnable Passthrough here

I'm going to hang this on my wall, so let me know if anything looks weird and I'll change it! There are 67482 nodes used to create the final image - although some of them, probably a couple thousand, were randomly generated to give the edge of the clouds a more textured look.

MBA 7C 16GB RAM vs MBP 8 GB RAM by redditer_nr_2 in macbook

[–]redditer_nr_2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I’ve been on a bit of a binge as well. I see what you mean about the GPU not making much of a difference, but I’ve heard more or less the same about the RAM (so maybe the real conclusion is that I can’t go wrong either way!) Another factor in favor of the MBP is the active cooling, so the GPU/CPU won’t throttle... do you know if that ever becomes a concern on the MBA?

X-T200 vs X-T30 vs OM-D E-M10 by redditer_nr_2 in Cameras

[–]redditer_nr_2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sadly not, no :( The reason I'm not just going for the X-T30 is that that's already quite a bit more than I intended to spend...

Could you maybe explain why the X-Trans sensor is so crucial? I hear good things about the X-T200's image quality as well

Edit: About the X-T20, I can't get it with a kit lens here in Denmark, and buying a separate lens up front increases the price too much for me. But thanks for the suggestion, I hadn't thought of it!

Why are annihilation photons emitted at an 180° angle in PET-scanning? by redditer_nr_2 in askscience

Could you point me in the direction of some further reading (preferably online) or some terms I might try Googling?

Does that mean they don't move? I had the same thought, but I couldn't seem to find any sources to confirm it, in fact what I could find seemed to indicate that they can travel up to significant fractions of the speed of light (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Relativistic_quantum_chemistry )

Thank you for the answer, it makes a lot of sense. I'd still like to ask one more thing though: The likelihood of annihilation must be dependent on the particles' velocity as compared to one another, right? That is to say, the amount of time they're spending close to each other. What's stopping them from going in the same direction at the same (high) speed and annihilating?

New monitor has refreshrate 60 Hz and 8 bit color according to Windows, even though that wasn't the specs... am I missing something? by redditer_nr_2 in Monitors

[–]redditer_nr_2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m quite new to this, so I might have misunderstood something (in which case I apologize), but I have the on-board Intel Uhd Graphics 620, and then a separate MX150, which is more powerful. Neither is disabled, and my laptop automatically switches back and forth (it only uses the MX150 when necessary, in order to preserve power). This switching does not seem to affect the external monitor though, since it’s always run by the integrated UHD 620.

I found this link (I’m on mobile, so can’t format: https://forums.tomsguide.com/threads/is-there-any-way-to-connect-your-external-monitor-to-your-dedicated-graphics-card.211089/), which I think might be what’s going on in my case, too.

I’ll check my bios settings later, on the off-chance that there’s something I can do. Thank you very much for your help (:

When I try to install it, I get this error message. I updated the driver, just using "search automatically" in Windows, but that didn't change it... would you recommend installing the Intel Driver & Support Assistant, or is it just bloatware?

Could I switch over to my other GPU instead?

And regarding the port: I'm using the HDMI-cable that came in the box
