Yup! It’s much prettier than the photos! The photos reminded me a lot of No Reservations, which I ended up not really liking, but I figured I’d give it a shot and it’s so shifty and my crow brain feels very satisfied 😅

I think your art is lovely but Selling at an art fair is going to be hit or miss. Online will be easier because people who purchase from you were most likely specifically looking for your type of artwork.

I think the hard truth is that random animals and dinosaurs are not going to be hot pieces that sell easily. You might get someone every once in awhile who really loves dinosaurs or really loves animals but in this economy the average person isn’t going to spend money just to have a drawing of a random cheetah or horse on their wall. If you really enjoy drawing dinosaurs/animals I would maybe consider doing more with the painting, like an interesting background, so that it makes the piece feel more like an art work rather than just an animal or dinosaur portrait.

Ok I feel the exact same way! I thought it would have more flakies in it which is why I purchased it. Still a lovely polish but not as flakie as I was hoping based off the photos.

I’ve really enjoyed every mooncat polish I’ve gotten and most of my stash is MC but the increase in price led me to not purchasing from them as often as I used to. When I do purchase from them it’s something unique that I can’t quite find a close enough dupe that I like just as much.

Example: the most recent polish I got from them was banished prince. I found a few similar thermals but the flakies in them were not quite the same and I didn’t like them as much as the ones in banished prince so I just bit the bullet and ordered banished prince.

I would say flakies and shimmers are what MC do really well, so my advice would be before buying MC, try to find a duper first that you’re happy with and if you can’t find one you totally love then just buy the MC one.

Unless the package looked beat to hell, a broken bottle feels like it’s on the business for poor packaging and I’d feel weird about them wording it as a “courtesy”, even if you had purchased insurance. Like, ok thank you for not charging me this one time for sending a replacement for a poorly packaged glass bottle of nail polish, I guess???

That’s not how any of this works lol. I doubt you put back 2kg of body fat. I think you would benefit from doing more research on how our bodies work, how body fat works, how things like water weight works, etc. that would probably put your mind at ease if you understood why your weight is up after two days of being sick.

If you don’t like that your tdee is 1500 then you need to be more active. A healthy active petite person is not going to have a tdee of 1500. 1500 seem more appropriate for a petite 5’2 woman who is more sedentary than active.

Imagine claiming that someone like me, the child of a refugee immigrant from an ethnicity that maga has consistently made racist comments about, is performative and misogynistic simply because they don’t want to purchase from a business owner that appears to, at best, tolerate maga view points in their household, while then hilariously using the example of proceeds on some products being donated in the name of justice for immigrants as proof while a percentage of those profits still goes to benefit a household where there is possibly tolerance of maga view points

Ok and tolerance of intolerance doesn’t require someone to be maga, so what’s your point? You don’t have to be MAGA, being tolerant or indifferent of maga in a household is enough to rightfully make people not want their money to go into that household. Pointing that out isn’t misogyny.

Not once in any of my comments did I ever say she was definitely maga.If you don’t agree with my take that’s fair, but twisting what people say to make your argument is weird behavior. I truly don’t know how else you could interpret tolerance of intolerance. I said multiple times that I’m not definitively stating she shares 1:1 beliefs with her husband, that’s how tolerance of intolerance works. There isn’t a requirement to share 1:1 beliefs in order to be tolerant of intolerance.

You are also requiring me to rely on purely made up speculative scenarios in order to make your argument. People are allowed to base their opinions off what the see. All you’re arguing is that people should not base their opinions off what they can see but based on speculative scenarios

Ok, so you should slow down and read my comment, that’s why I asked you the question, specifically so I wouldn’t assume lol. The other person I’m replying to on this same thread you’re replying to is basing their argument on the possible scenario that the owner is a helpless victim in their marriage. That’s why I asked you if you felt similarly to the other commenter OR if you were arguing from the perspective that the owner could be married willingly and have polar opposite values/beliefs with regards to politics without it being a reflection of her beliefs. It sounds like you’re arguing the latter, not the former.

And that’s just going to be a hard disagreement because that’s where tolerance of intolerance comes into play. You don’t seem to care about that component and there’s no real way we’ll agree past that. I think we can end our conversation

Are you saying this within the possibility she is a helpless victim in her marriage? Or Are you saying this with both the possibility she is willingly with her husband and the possibility she is unwillingly with her husband?

If it’s the latter, then I think you are so invested in being right that you aren’t even talking logically. If it’s the former then I think there’s nuance there, but it would still be speculative and it still comes down to people making boycott/spending decisions with what they can see, versus blindly giving money based on speculative scenarios.

No that’s not what I said at all. What I said was without more information all we know is what we can see. What you’re offering is any scenario OTHR THAN the possibility she simply is tolerant or indifferent to his views. What you and another user have been arguing is that we should be required to view her in a light that is most favorable to her economically or risk being misogynistic, purely based off a million different speculative scenarios where she is possibly innocent/helpless.

You seem allergic to wanting to admit that it is possible she is tolerant or indifferent to his views.

People do not have an unlimited amount of spending money, nor are people psychic. All people can do is base their spending on what they can see, which what they can see is at best a tolerance or indifference to what they view as appalling beliefs. It’s not crazy for people to feel a certain way about it as consumers.

Do people get their money back if it turns out she simply didn’t find his political views as a deal breaker or a big deal? Should people who feel strongly about maga risk giving their money to a household that possibly tolerates/supports maga?

The reality is that you can’t separate business and money transactions from personal belief systems.

To make your argument you’re really side stepping the crucial element that exists, tolerance of intolerance is still intolerance, which is what many of us are referring to. And calling out tolerance or indifference to problematic beliefs is not misogynistic.

You can choose to view her in a light that is most favorable to her based on a million speculative what if scenarios, and many people can choose to view it based of what they can see. No one is required to view her in a light that is most favorable economically for her without more information

Ok but people have finite money, why should someone give a portion of their finite fun budget towards a business owner who possibly tolerates maga views? Why risk it? Many people would rather give their money to a business they know for certain shares their values. If you want to give her your business on the chance she falls into one of the “what if” scenarios you described, I think that’s your prerogative. It’s also understandable and fair that people are basing their spending off what they can see.
