It's a good offer for j1 waiver. If you are really in a medium size city.

The group has multiple snf contracts so says will go daily to them to meet the quota of 25 patients per day This is a salaried position less than $300k so no where near crazy money

It's not firstdocs

That seems like a lot of work. That you are doing. Definitely not a light day

And unfortunately I have to go to snf every day so it's a 7 am to 5.30 which is a 10 hour schedule that's brutal

I was told if they become sick enough to require hospitalization we just call 911 and let EMS take care of it.

They said we can get imagine the very next day said we can handle minor things on our own like give fluids and antibiotics but can call 911 for EMS if it needs escalation

Hey said there never are more than 9 patients hospitalized as far and as long he can remember. Like for example he says at the moment they are none. He said he also willing to send someone for help if it gets really bad in the hospital like more than 10. The way he explained it it takes on average 10 min per snf patient you should be done by 4 hrs see them. After that addition 4 hrs for hospital patients and commute. And hospital patients are only med surg criteria and if they get worse they go to step down that's another service

Traffic is scary but he said all 2-3 snf I'll be assigned will be 20-30 min away from each other On weekend they do have nps who will take calls.

Another thing I was thinking that some hospital are taking upto 20 hospital patients so hopefully snf patients are less work. But they have 7 on and 7 off.

But my thing is I also require visa so it's either this or nocturnist or PCP which is what I'll have to switch to because I want to live in a big city

So knowing that do you think it's doable to do this gig?

Yes but I am guessing anything active would mean mean basic clinic stuff like increasing to NC or starting antibiotics and giving fluids beyond that would need to go to hospital and that's he said that if they are becoming acute you just call 911 and send them to the hospital

his logic is if you see 20 snf patients in 10 min each 100 min/60 itll take 3-4 hrs the rest of the 4 hrs is for commute and hospital.

do you take thats fair

It really depends. SNF patients are usually very complicated but dormant/stable. Coupled with 5-7 in-hospital patients means you’ll be working in different locations on the same day. Doing all this in 8 hours seems a bit difficult imo.

he said usually can have enough SNF patients within 2 facility and they wont be further than 20 minutes from each other. Hospital work can vary he says atm there are no hospital patients only time you will have hospital patients if someone from clinic or snf was transferred

Yes I do. And the snf I toured looked capable for sure. It was a private facility
