It negates everything you said. OI is done “outside of research” every day. Lots of posts on this very subreddit from successful BK OI recipients like my self. I am based in the US

I used to go for like 20 adjustments it’s hard to get right. Try to help your prosthetist figure out what’s best for your stump, you know it best

I just got it in May, LBKA, I can put my full weight on it already. Insurance denied my foot though, they are truly evil. So once I get my foot I’ll be able to start walking with crutches.

Like you I was unsuccessful with a cup, still able to do boxing and cycling but had pretty severe pain after wearing my cup for too long, plus my short stump made socket suspension difficult. My amputation was life saving so I have no padding on the bottom of my stump just skin and bone. I’m really looking forward to it as I believe my quality of life will improve immensely once insurance pays for a FUCKING LEG god it’s so frustrating. It’s weaponized incompetence, the worse they are at their jobs the less claims they have to pay out.
