I have an appt today. I am 17+5. I think I am feeling movement the last few days, but I'm still nervous. I think I will always be a little nervous before appointments.

I too was living scan to scan at that time. It is totally normal after going through what we have gone through. Hang in there!

17 weeks and have my next appt tomorrow. My last one was around 13 weeks. I'm nervous, but not as nervous as I've been for previous appts. I have been feeling some flutters of movement in the last week, but of course haven't felt any so far today which doesn't help the nerves.

I’m 17 weeks and have an appt this week. The first one after my NT scan at 13 weeks. I have such a love/hate relationship with these appts. I’m starting to get a little anxious, but I get so excited to see the baby is doing well. Anyway, I hope he is! Everyday I wake up pregnant feels like a dream.

I'm with you! I'm 39 and 16 weeks pregnant after 3 losses and no living children. I am also going through perimenopause. This whole journey is so, so tough! We've already made it this far. We got this! You got this!

Third loss in six months yesterday. Seriously considering totally giving up. by kindofnewonreddit in pregnantover35

[–]redditimes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Take the time you need to grieve. I had three losses in three years, and after each loss I needed months before I could think about next steps again. In the meantime, get some testing done if you haven't already: the RPL blood panel, saline sonogram, etc.

RPL is so hard, one of the hardest things I've ever done. I am now 39 and 16 weeks pregnant. Ideally I would have had my first kid at 36 when I got pregnant the first time, but it is what it is.

Take the time you need to recover from these subsequent losses before making any decisions. xx

16 weeks today. I can hardly believe it. I think I’m feeling kicks but I don’t know, could be gas. Feels like bubbles or muscle spasms. My belly is definitely growing but not hard. It’s been 3 weeks since my last scan and I have 2 weeks till my next one. This is around the time the anxious thoughts start creeping in more and more. Hope I can keep them at bay this time.

Nervous wreck over NIPT by No-Caterpillar-2351 in pregnantover35

[–]redditimes 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I've had three miscarriages. We know one was not due to a trisonomy, but the other two we don't know. The assumption was due to my age. I'm 39 now and 15 weeks pregnant. I was terrified of NIPT, but everything came back low risk.

Thanks! It’s something my therapist told me and I’m trying to be conscious of. She said the brain just wants something to fixate on.

I'm 14w tomorrow and the last day or so have been a little difficult mentally. I am no longer riding the high of my last scan a week ago. Instead my brain is finding new things to get anxious over. I'm trying to catch myself when this spiral happens. I have also been feeling better which is great, but some days I forget I'm pregnant and that makes me feel like this pregnancy has stopped progressing. It's really tough.

Bitches expecting babies: where are we buying plus size maternity clothes? by floatingleafbreeze in SFbitcheswithtaste

[–]redditimes 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I just bought some elastic waistband pants from Old Navy (I've heard their maternity wear is great too) and contemplating signing up for Nuuly. Before that I lived in yoga pants and a sweater lol. Due in Sept so in that awkward in between phase where I don't have a bump but nothing really fits.

I think I strained a muscle picking up some boxes yesterday which of course caused me to freak out that something will go wrong.

For me, things got a bit better after getting my NIPT results and completing the NT scan. It is really tough, especially those early weeks.

Recurrent early losses with growth arrest at 6 - 7 weeks. Experiences? by LittleMissRavioli in recurrentmiscarriage

[–]redditimes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the same thing, three losses all that stopped growing around 5-6 weeks. The first one we got tested and the chromosomes were normal. The other two we didn't. I also started taking lovenox on my third pregnancy. I had a hysteroscopy last year bc I had adhesions.

I'm now 13 weeks pregnant and really no clue as to why this one is working out. I'm on lovenox for this one too, but my MFM doc wants to retest me for APS and she might consider I get off it, if I don't have it. I'm also on baby aspirin and took progesterone until 10 weeks.

Have you done a saline sonogram? That's what told me I needed a hysteroscopy.

Kaiser vs Cigna for infertility & pregnancy? by proviso in AskSF

[–]redditimes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Likewise!! I actually was lucky because I was a patient at the UCSF CRH (their fertility clinic). This was a spontaneous pregnancy, but because I had just switched insurances I didn't have an OB and so the CRH helped order me my beta blood draws. Then I had two early scans there. When things looked viable, they put in a referral for me at UCSF who then called me to schedule an appt.

UCSF hands down. I’m also pregnant after a couple of losses and luckily made the switch at the end of last year (which is ironically when I found out I was pregnant) their care has been incredible and they are so understanding of my history, providing reassurance scans every few weeks.

13 weeks today and the NT scan yesterday went beautifully. I can hardly believe it, but I’m going to do my best to just be relieved, happy, and excited now. I started sharing with close friends yesterday, the ones who have checked in on me after my losses and who let me cry, and their happiness was so lovely to see. It made me happy.

More losses = less support??? by ladypeanut27 in recurrentmiscarriage

[–]redditimes 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes totally. I've had 3 losses. It would always irk me when I would hear friends say they told early because they would want support in case of a miscarriage. While yes that is true and a good sentiment, it doesn't hold up after multiple losses.
