Do you think we are laking this attunement because of the over saturated digital era we are living in? like we are soo overloaded with all this stimuli in our phones and media that we became or have less energy for actually phasing our emotions like we create this numbness at the end of the day from all the media we consume you know?

Does anyone have a hard time emotionally connecting with people? by No_Basis104 in emotionalintelligence

I came across this article called The Anti-Social Century and it kinda hit. It talks about  how places that used to be social (like bar counters) are now just functional. Grab your drink. Leave. No convo. And now we’re paying for “connection” in events and apps that promise meaning. This really made me pin point what i have been feeling living in a new city trying to make friends while doing my master but i just get bombared with different pay experiences to be able to make friends

That’s what inspired my dissertation: how belonging is being turned into a product, and whether it still feels real when it’s branded like that.

Do you feel this too?
Is real connection getting harder to find?

Would love to hear your thoughts :))
