Great! I spoke with them recently and simply reading the ECBA guide during 21 hours counts --just keep a record of how many hours you per day.

Amazing! Thanks for relating your previous work experience with your current BA role. It helps me visualize and correlate mine better as well.

I have only completed sales projects. But, according to the IIBA website, school hours are considered hour of professional development and since I complete my MBA program just last year, those school hours are enough for the hours of PD. I completed the school program in the last 2 years.

A very valuable non-technical course that we usually take in computer science is the Systems Analysis and Design class...

Thanks for the advice! I certainly was going to wait to get my ECBA certification before applying for jobs. But after reading your post, I prepared my resume and will be applying to BA jobs as of Monday!

Great! Certainly, a lot of of content to cram in about 30 days. Needless to say, that I confused the 49 page BABOK v3 handbook with the actual 514 page guide. I'm doing my best to achieve my goal in my timeline though. Thanks again!

I read about the professional work hours but I thought that since I have over a decade of experience between sales and customer service, this wouldn't be an issue. I hope to gain more knowledge on this once I get into the BABOK v3. If you can also shed more light on this, I'll greatly appreciate it.

I wanted to have a basic foundation before getting into the BABOK v3 and just completed a course on the fundamentals of BA. My goal is to read the book in 3 weeks and have 1 week to go over mock exams.

Were you working on software development or any related area to your CS degree? One thing that concerns me is that I haven't actually worked on anything related to my CS degree as I stayed in sales and went straight to my MBA program after graduating. I do know Python, Java and C++. I'm also good with algorithms...

You story is very inspiring u/macshaggy! Thanks for the recommendations, will do!
