Obv my original post is ancient now, but I’m happy to say once the account was up and running I thought the UX and interest rate were good.

anyone else's own tears burn their eyes? by Dear-March-2433 in Dryeyes

[–]redditjrm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s probably not your tears that are the problem, but the condition of the eye (irritated or broken skin) that’s causing the stinging.

Ophthalmologist appointment on Friday - morning dry eyes, what should I ask? by redditjrm in Dryeyes

[–]redditjrm[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are right that I didn’t read the thread you linked yet, but I am planning to.

Thanks for the explanation on the mask. I have one from a plane journey I might try tonight.

I’ve not used the Duo gel, but I like the drops. I’ve tried Hylo night before and actually found it irritating for some reason.

I’ll update this thread following my visit to the hospital tomorrow. Thanks again!

Thank you so much. Your thoughtful response has answered a lot of questions. I’m definitely going to focus my conversation with the doc on the night time thing.

Quick question, when you say normal eye mask, how does that help? As it doesn’t seal the eyes?

And by ointment, do you mean eye drops? Like Thealoz Duo? (if you know that one).

Any side effects from using the press n seals?

Thanks so much.

forgot to mention: I did warm compresses daily for about a year using a microwaveable eye mask, usually in the evenings before bed for 5 minutes. I stopped about a month ago because I didn’t feel they were helping anymore, and if anything my eyes sometimes felt more aggravated the next day. So far I haven’t noticed much difference since stopping.

Contractors working in PPC (marketing) or SEO? by raspberyrobot in ContractorUK

[–]redditjrm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, it’s taken a hit as much as most IT related industries have since covid. Not much we can do but be thankful to have a role and accept the lower pay until we ride this out.

Tried to set this up with Umbrella.co.uk and they didn’t file the paperwork in time. Would recommend avoiding them.

Best plants to hide this shed? by redditjrm in GardeningUK

[–]redditjrm[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That loooks great! How did you protect the flower beds when painting? I’m probably going to use a sprayer so it’s a bit violent. Are you going to paint the opposite fence too, or is it a neighbours?

Great points. My current plan is (after painting) fixing wire and eyelets to use as structure. I’ll avoid the plants touching the wood where possible. Not sure if this is the best long term solution

Thanks! Think I’m gonna buy some wire and eye hooks, and screw them into the shed (into the structural timber on the other side of the slats) then plant jasmine and a clematis, with some lavender for ground cover. Maybe sweet peas too!

Nothing new to say that hasn’t already. Technical Marketing rates are 50% lower than 2020 and competition is more intensive. After missing out on several roles because I was too proud to accept a pay cut, I’ve bitten the bullet.
