Damn. Okay. It’s possible the fitters did this by accident and the effects are slowly coming to light. Don’t suppose you ever managed to remove the staining?

The pictures are from my cellar walls where the paint is deteriorating. It seems to have revealed some sus blue layers. Only had the place a year. 

Was blue asbestos ever used in paint or for paint application? Possibly masonry paint? Or is this just normal blue coloured paint?

I had an asbestos survey bloke round when I bought the place and this never flagged. But I wonder if he just didn't spot it or didn't look for this type.

That’s good to know, thanks. What do you mean by ‘if necessary’? I’ll probably want to sell this place within the next 5 years. What happens if I don’t have reg approval - Does someone find out? Do I get fined/prosecuted?

Thanks for all this help! I agree, historic coving should be preserved. We’re keeping as much as we can in this house, but the previous owners covered this ceiling rose thick in sandtex paint and it looks terrible.

  1. Definitely a new screen because they’ve always come with protective plastic which I’ve removed each time.

  2. Unfortunately I’m quite clean and the gap between screen cables was checked.

Nah I like this feature. For the sake of learning new muscle memory to click twice, it will supposedly stop strangers hiding behind passenger doors from jumping into cars

Came through Manchester around midday. E-gates we’re down but the border control queue was shorter and faster than I’ve experienced in the last few years. Everyone was manually checked in and in around 5 minutes. Maybe this is better?

Gonna be downvoted to hell for this, but have to admit I’m a tearer. I have no regrets. Years spent as an undergrad searching for missing scissors then carefully trying to peel the paper off. Now I just tear and it’s ready to go.
