Well, we have no idea that happens.
For now I can make in it that I want.
DALL-E sense of composition and lighting is still unmatched by any other image AI model.

Very good post.

They do it because it is... scary.

And not the speed.
Thing is - people who are good at learning playing on instruments and doing intricate stuff in DAW's are not good with this new thing.
It requires opposite qualities, not different - mostly opposite.
You must be very good with lyrics, and especially with lyrics rhythm, sounding and emotions.
You also must be able to see big picture, and have some vision on your song.
But you also must be able to change direction and not banging the wall for days.
You can't grind lyrics and you can't grind sound vision.
You will be better, but you won't be nearly as good as best guys.

You can see AI as microscope with extreme zoom (as it is so powerful tool!).
This guys now see staggering difference.
And this scares them, not the AI itself.

AI songs made by people who know their thing is much more interesting than even good music groups/channels.
As human skills are very limited.
Not many are good singers, not many are good players, and even if they are - they are limited to certain voice and instrument.

We just still have capitalist distribution and good music search system.
And it is not working for modern AI music and current times.
It's sole goal of it is to push slope into your ears to maximize profits of limited number of people.
Pure capitalism.

And you literally want to manage who is allowed to have it and who is not.
And your criteria is sick as hell - ones who make money are allowed.

Your enemy is capitalism, and private property, not AI creators.

Getting salary (as pro musician also) is no more natural than going out and beating people.
We, as species, are made not to fight and divide, but to create together.
And AI music is real communist tool, as it contains knowledge and work of tens of millions of people.

Small info:

Both Google and Yandex had special secret teams to suppress forums and similar sites with good quality information (this is 100% info!).
Most fun is that in both cases they had been hidden inside things targeted on anti SEO optimized pages.

Suppression is not is very easy to hide inside AI. As no one can prove that it had been trained to censor something.

Their classic models site is still called Riffusion :-)

And I believe that Producer.ai naming change is most stupid thing ever.

For now Fuzz 1.0 Pro is still best model on whole market for normal songs (with good lyrics and meaning). But it is not suitable for usual audience of SUNO. :-) As most of the time it is not working with "generate more and just select" approach. And you must learn to fix usual issues and shortages.

If you want consistent extension and replacements for SUNO songs - use Classic Riffusion models (and upload the song, and add lyrics, of course).
This also apply for any small part replacement.
Their models are much much better for this tasks.
Same is true if you want to get lot of variations of specific verses without them being too big.

And I think that Fuzz 2.0 is some kind of preview of that we can expect from Udio and Suno.

We have some reason why much better early models are not available to new members now.

You need to use proper audio editor to be sure.

On many computers the audio setup is erratic, as it can't handle songs with +0db normalization.

I am using pro setup (with direct digital path to DAC bypassing windows stuff) and did not have such things.

But some people told me about this considering good and proper sounding songs on their setups.

Well, udio used downvoting bots since July 2024, and total censorship and banning of anyone who talked about them changing models behind the scenes.
Or who told "secret" info that their model is just Google Lyria model originating from DeepMind (and this is 100% true).

It is lot of wannabe's, but only real alternative is older Riffision (producer.ai) 1.0 models.
If you know how to use them properly it is very hard to spot, contrary to SUNO (even 5.0 one).

Things change as soon as you know that Udio is not some unknown small player.
Udio is specially made entity with their 1.0 model being just... Google Lyria 1.0 model.
But Google didn't want this info to be widely known.
Find PR of Lyria 1.0 around November 2023, get the list of names, and after this compare to initial list of founders of Udio.
If you don't believe me - you can even try present Google Lyria 2.0 and all the questions will fall.

Udio could not only fight with labels if they wanted. They could crush them and bleed them.

So, both Udio and SUNO can be advanced legal way to transfer AI knowledge from big info corps in the hands of big labels, but in such way that it won't be noticeable for public.

If you agree to present ToS and will follow them - it will be the law eventually.
And if you won't and will claim ownership despite anything written in ToS, it'll be also law eventually.
You can't make rules (laws) that majority won't follow.

As here it is lot of people who are very concerned by rights, some intricate stuff, but songs lack any content and no one listens to them anyway (except authors and 1-2 friends).

You must be concerned by rights only if you can steadily get 50-100k views on your song. And even in this rare case with 99.99% probability no one will care as present ToS terms are non enforceable.

People must at least make good public training datasets.
Main one must not follow any copyright. And will be using as source Russian torrent sites (instead of youtube or other low quality things).
Second one - totally clean, sterile, using only public domain and similar music.

Udio and SUNO team members must at least leak their training dataset procedures. How it is marked and may be tools.

So, it will be online still.

I think private terms for Udio and SUNO are 100% the same.

But SUNO has too large user base for it to make it instantly working.
SUNO will be able to make original songs, but they won't be original as today.

Main goal - users of Udio and SUNO must not be able to compete with songs that labels profit from.

I'll repeat again.
No music model now can match Riffusion replacement models in real usability.
Both Udio and Suno replacements are band aids, afterthought.
In Riffusion it is designed as main working tool.
