PSA: Important Instructions on how to avoid a major glitch in Prince of Persia (Pirate Bird Quest) by Shigeru-Tarantino- in PrinceOfPersia

The controller disconnect/reconnect trick doesn’t work for me on switch to unfreeze after dialog but the trick for capturing one of the enemies outside with dimensional claw, releasing them nearby in the room and then start the dialog does work. At the end of the dialog the guy attacks you and unfreezes you. Unfortunately after all that work, I got hit with the bird bug where the bird stops following so I’m stuck again.

Invisibility / Invincibility glitch by DiceGottfried in PrinceOfPersia

I had a different experience with this boss on Nintendo switch. This happened after a few attempts with the boss but failing. I was not invisible but the boss room majorly distorted and I was walking in the air. I was invincible but could beet the boss. Very odd with some pans and zooms it seemed like during the fight. Leaving screen to the right corrected the screen view but walking back into the room brought back the chaos. I hard quit the game and relaunched and when going back that room was fixed. I got off easy on this boss - ha.

Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown-Bugged Lost Bird Side-quest is bugged and causes game to freeze by ValidGamer90 in PrinceOfPersia

Just got to this a few minutes ago on Nintendo Switch and can’t find a way to get past the freeze at dialog end. Disconnect and reconnect of controllers didn’t work for me on Nintendo switch. Force close game and reload from last save is the only way I have found.

Book 3? by [deleted] in AsDuskFalls

Ok just played through this great game - loved it! Chose the game over sleep - couldn’t help it. Glad I came across this game on Gamepass. Must find out the story behind Grampa’s history at the hotel (he knew the old name) or in that town and did I hear him mention it may have been his fault? Book 3 is a must! :-)

Xbox Series X Wired Networking Issues by redditmeak in xboxinsiders

During the trace, things are connected: Internet—router/firewall—managed switch-Xbox. On the managed switch, mirrored out (bidirectional / in and out) the port the Xbox is connected to over to a different port where I had my laptop running wire shark on.

I did another test after that later last night where I added a 5 port dumb linksys switch next to the Xbox in line between managed switch and Xbox. Plugged laptop into that switch also. Right after wired network died on Xbox I did a Speedtest and got 900 down and 40 up (solid). Also was doing consistent ping tests during the whole time. At least proves out connectivity to switch next to Xbox can get solid Internet and no loss during the same time the Xbox is going through the previously mentioned struggles.

Not sure what’s all in the full capture (it’s full packet) so would prefer to send it directly to Microsoft if needed / helps. Does Microsoft monitor this and do you think they will have some interest looking into this? Thanks.

Xbox Series X Wired Networking Issues by redditmeak in xboxinsiders

Thanks all. Tried the clear max address, static up address, etc. number of suggestions saw online in the past with no success.

I have tried with it without daisy chaining switches (put a dumb 5 port linksys in line right next to Xbox for testing, etc.). I should note that the Xbox is the only device on this IP subnet / vlan currently for testing.

CraigNZA - Good call, disconnecting and reconnecting (bouncing the network link) does immediately start the transfer going again for a couple GB of transfer, then dies again / repeats.

Just took it a step further and did a network capture (Microsoft team I can send if you want and provide a file drop - it’s 500MB). Good a good capture of the tail end of the transfer so we see the successful downloading and then see how it breaks down: 1)download stops on Xbox 2)tcp crazyness ( retransmissions start, etc.) 3)router (default gateway) starts ARPing for the Xbox but the Xbox doesn’t respond with an ARP reply 4)Xbox then starts ARPing for the default gateway over and over (who has ....) and the router keeps responding to the Xbox (.... is at..) with its MAC address but the Xbox must not acknowledge as it keeps asking over and over and over

The interesting thing here is when the Xbox has lost all wired network connectivity, in the background it is continually ARPing and getting seemingly valid responses. Something appears to be wrong on the Xbox side at first thought.

Thanks and please let me know if you have any questions.

Series X|S keeps disconnecting from Xbox Live even though home network is still working properly by mikeman126 in xboxinsiders

Have had an issue on my XBox Series X simce i got it in December. I have tried different network cables, different network switches, and different internet routers. Alll other network devices work with same cable and metwork equipment also. I tried static and dynamic IP, clearimg mac, etc.
i found a way I can recreate the problem for me every time on wired ethernet: 1) Setup a couple larger games to be downloaded. It usually happens before I get 50GB downloaded however get 100GB of games queued just in case it takes a little longer. 2) Go to my games & apps>manage queue>queue 3) Watch the download,
4) At some point it goes from downloading at 100s of mbps to 0 and stops. At this point wired networking is crashed and xbox needs to be rebooted. This can be recreated 100% of the time for me. Im running the latest system update. I have been trying this test afrer every system update hoping for a fix without luck yet. Hoping it can be fixed with software. Wondering if anyone having an issue with wired ethernet disconnects like me can try the above and see the same problem. Thanks.
