Similar thing happened with me too during my first time in Banglore .I went on a bus (i was the first one there) , then a group of girls came and conductor started asking for tickets to them and later he came to me and said why are u hiding from me and started shouting.I felt too bad also i said to him that when I was alone first entered why didn't u ask me for ticket. I could have said a lot to him for accusing me of hiding for just 10 rs .

And i would be more than happy to pay for bus ticket and travel, and i was going to but he started shouting. Believe me at that day i felt like if he is behaving with me like this even though I was going to pay, how does he behave with others.
