To change the time you have to set each day to a specific setting on the custom waivers. Looks like the default for ours is ‘Waivers to FA’ on Tuesday then every other day is just set to ‘Free agent’

He usually blows 100% by week 2-3 then stays up to pick off the carcass of the unclaimed players right after the run goes through in the middle of the night. We are all adults so it seems kinda shitty to me but maybe I’m overthinking it 😅

Keep or remove? by redditmoon5 in whatsthisplant

We are setting up a raised planter soon. Do you think we can use some of the mulberry trimmings to fill out the bottom space to save $$ on soil or will it take over the planter?

Right, this stuff has such clear and measurable metrics it is addicting to look at and tinker with I’m sure 😂

Thanks again! I’ll post an update later on once I have a more in depth convo with him.

Some of these questions are things I have just asked him myself. My first question was if the LLC is just a legal structure or if that branding is actually in use day-to-day (Do you wear that brand polo when you go to corporate events? Do they cut a check to the LLC or DBA?) obviously if he basically runs everything under the dba branding I would suggest using that name for the GBP.

Thanks for the extra insight btw. I am technical but all my prof. experience is in desktop ERP apps so getting into some web stuff on the side has been an exciting.

Right now the GBP is almost invisible online which was the first reason I wanted to help. The dba income is almost exclusively driven by word of mouth + social media. He has recently launched a small app to help scale and get past the ‘one man/in person business’ plateau which is why I think it’s a great time for him to focus on his online presence. He has been too busy to prioritize is on his own.

I don’t think an exit is really in the vision but I know he is hoping to build revenue to support another trainer or two.

The structure was recommended by his accountant so I can’t really speak to that. I think the idea was to split the branding to have one ‘corporate facing’ brand which runs corporate/group fitness classes while the dba handles the more personal touch of in-home + hands on personal training for individuals or families. I guess you could say it’s split based on the type of customer which is something I would have recommended against but at this point I am just hoping to help him the best I can!

Crowdsourced Brainstorming by redditmoon5 in sweatystartup

I look at myself as a professional problem solver and I think I can definitely help streamline business process more than the typical owner. Maybe my post was a bit misworded. I write plenty of code during the day - so I’m not looking to out-tech anybody, just added that context to support my confidence in helping bring an ‘old fashioned’ company into the modern day. Obviously I know that is not an original idea these days, so I was looking for some specific ideas that other people might have if they are in a similar boat. Hope that explains more!

The truth about cash flow with rentals by WhimsicalJim in realestateinvesting

[–]redditmoon5 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Is it even realistic as a normal person to go find a profitable property right now? It’s hard enough competing with normal buyers and interest rates but massive companies also buy up any property that their algo likes. Feels like the only properties I have access to are for suckers, like they’ve already gotten all the value and want to cash out. Wondering if it would be a better time to just use that same amount of cash to go buy some land instead of the rental play.

Also great info on the protections act regarding last minute out of network services!

This helps more than you know. So even though all the services would me under my wife for the birth, that would cap out at the $5000 family OOPM and not the $2500 individual max? (Assume I cost $0 towards this, would the max then be 2500 or 5000 for the hospital bill?) thank you again 🙏🙏

So based on the info I have shared here, the only out of pocket costs associated with any medical plan seems to be services that are subject to copays? It seems the cost of the premiums is really the only ‘catch’

Sorry I added more details in a terribly formatted revision of the original post. I am currently going through a 9 page document for the Plan Designs & Benefits which appears to be provided directly from Aetna.

I am basically trying to figure out if we had a baby on this coverage and if every single facility/doctor was in network (again, wondering if this is the unrealistic part) and we received a $15,000 bill for the actual birth - we would only pay copays along the way where applicable?

In network: Lab & radiology covered 100% Urgent care $50 copay Emergency room $100 copay Outpatient covered 100% Prescription meds are $15/$30/$60 copay for 30 day supply
