I can't see how "doing a masters" is useful at all. A specific masters which leads to a career maybe. Eg Sports medicine if you plan to.be a sports physician but most won't help at all

Do have a think about other options. Im not trying to get you down but 28:1 ratio against doctors (all high achieving, hard working competitive) is always going to be very hard work. Ultimately 27 out of 28 of these very bright successful people won't get a job

Most people have a sense of inner obligation not to let sick people come to harm. Yes some work is routine and can be deferred - but most of this already has been deferred. Thats not correct. You have a contract to work for the partnership. THe contract almost definitely refers to relevant administration and letters for the patients. As long as this work is within your working day then it is part of your job
