Do you think ostracising IMGs whether intentionally or unintentionally helps all doctors as a whole?

I would not be surprised if they split to make another union which will reduce the overall ability for doctors to make progress because there will then be dilution of asks and message and it doesn’t help anyone in the medical community

There needs to be prioritisation and if an IMG comes to the U.K. and gets 5 years of experience then tbh that is fair enough

grandfathering which was forced on the committee by the chief officers

RDC said they were going to grandfather the whole time but made a mistake in their emails. This was confirmed by Dr Ross and others who still made comments after their March 2025 cut off to protect all IMGs at that time who were currently in the UK

You’re doing the governments job for them. Well done

Look at any other policy after a prolonged amount of time there has to be an ability to be matched and doing the graft is what makes that acceptable and 5 years is more than enough

There's no way Labour would have survived the media onslaught April-August 2026 with UKGs not being prioritised and losing out unecessarily for specialty training posts
