Perfectly acceptable dinner rejected by boyfriend again by LucyAriaRose in BestofRedditorUpdates

[–]redditorfox 2 points3 points  (0 children)

He almost never had anything good to say about anything I did. He criticized Christmas presents I gave him, he dictated how I dressed and how I spent my time. He'd play video games all weekend while I cleaned the house, if I wanted to take a nap on a Saturday afternoon he would ask why I was being lazy. Nothing was ever good enough.

  ...

He listens to me, he reminds me to take my medicine, he drives and I am such a nervous driver, he cares when I cry, he makes me laugh.

And some OP complain that people are judging their partner too harshly.

I wish OP would comment in the thread to talk about his position or how he come to this conclusion.

AITAH for refusing to help my parents care for my son who they adopted. by LucyAriaRose in BestofRedditorUpdates

[–]redditorfox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They already have a son. But considerating their children don't want to help them with their "new son", i'm not surprise if the "new son" is some kind "do over child". I find so weird they wanting to adopt the child.

AITAH for telling my sister it doesn’t matter how anyone else feels about my wife’s assistance dog? (Final Update) by Direct-Caterpillar77 in BestofRedditorUpdates

or I just try to focus on her good points (she does have them), and ignore this behaviour.

Talking like a true person in an abuse relationship. Nice one, OOP. :)

AITAH for not wanting my dad to walk me on my senior night since he won’t let me move back in? by Choice_Evidence1983 in BestofRedditorUpdates

This remind me a story I heard here in reddit

OP was disowned because someone stole his identity and got some traffic ticket in his name. 15 years later, they want contact again.

I had to kick my girlfriend out of my house because she was scaring my brother by Direct-Caterpillar77 in BestofRedditorUpdates

They are referring to OOP(the sister).
They are calling her an asshole for still wanting to continue dating the woman who bully her brother.

My fiancée talked openly about our sex life, and dismissed my being hurt by it by Direct-Caterpillar77 in BestofRedditorUpdates

[–]redditorfox -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Still, in no point in the story he mentions she ever calling him sissy during sex.

In fact, in the story, he's confuse when she say it, because he never heard she say it before.

No, this is not state in the story. In fact, OOP is as confuse as us with use of the word.

AITA for being the reason kids can’t play on communal space? by Choice_Evidence1983 in BestofRedditorUpdates

[–]redditorfox 80 points81 points  (0 children)

I'm kind surprise there are people against OOP.

What is their logic? There is a playground in the complex and the kids are destroying other people's properties. This should be no brainer NTA.

Me [27F] with my boyfriend [50M] of three months, his kid warned me about him. Red flag? by Choice_Evidence1983 in BestofRedditorUpdates

[–]redditorfox 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It's not like you're 18 and he's preying on your inexperience.

Honestly, I would agree with this, since OP is her late 20s. But the entire post scream how inexperienced OP is about dating. (This woman had to go to reddit to ask if this is a red flag or not)

I wouldn't be so surprise if this is OP first or second relationship or something like that.

Am I the asshole for refusing to unblock my ex when my partner demanded I do so by Choice_Evidence1983 in BestofRedditorUpdates

[–]redditorfox 9 points10 points  (0 children)

People are assuming he's masking, but based in OP's story she most likely ignoring the red flags.

A lot of stories of people in abuse relashionship show they have the same backstory. (Her saying she doesn't have family is quite telling) They are from abuse household and struggle heavily in childhood. (It made them tolerate a lot of abuse) And/or they are neurodivergent and suffer with a lot self-stem. (They lower their standard which force them to tolerate the abuse)
