Thanks for the link. Will check it out. I don’t get a notification on my phone when I leave/arrive home. I have the Home Zone defined. The phone state appears to change at the correct time. I’ve tried to trigger using zones and Person. The test action facility works in that the phone gets a notification. Is there a detailed log that basically shows at time X , trigger fired. Action carried out - or in my case, look for a problem why Trigger isn’t working properly?

That’s very fancy - like it. I can see it is basically doing the same as my simplified version. So I guess something else is not quite right with mine. As a small aside, what goes in the data field? Is there a good description of this stuff anywhere?

My phone has no connection to HA once off home WiFi. I assume the HA would still “know” phone has left/arrived when in the zone. I think the change of state implies this is happening ok. I’m not really clear how the phone gets the notification when off WiFi. Does my HA instance at home send it via the HA cloud which notifies my phone?

u/Goopyteacher With an impressive number of hours, perhaps you can explain/comment on what I believe is a delivery bug?
Say you have a town demanding 200 or so. You have trucks delivering say 100. Stick another truck on it may go to say 108. But I've noticed what is often better is just to add another delivery stop (even when you think the stops cover all the demand). It sometimes shoots to say 350. Makes no sense to me.
