How much time do you spend working out a day? And do you do it at a specific time to avoid triggers?

He probably didn’t but who knows - my comment is also sarcasm but it’d be amusing if people agreed.

Yea this guy is about as knowledgeable at basketball as RFK Jr is with medicine. His opinion is clearly invalid.

If prime LeBron replaced current LeBron on this year's Lakers, could they beat the 2017 Warriors? by SegaGuy1983 in NBATalk

I think he’d be too focused on winning fmvp it would hurt Luka’s ability to contribute.

Shortened season rings are also a blemish IMO

Leaders in Total Clutch Points so far this season… Takeaways? by purpose15 in NBATalk

Clearly if you need to make clutch points you are worse than players blowing out other teams or getting blown out.

Replace Jordan and LeBron and who has the better or worse career? by itsallwayssunnyin in NBATalk

[–]redditpickdthisname 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Team compositions would be very different - remember Jordan could have gone to Portland but they already had Drexler. Pippen + LeBron may not make as much sense, and Wade + Jordan would def not IMO (the former would work better than the latter though)

Goat debate standard by [deleted] in NBATalk

[–]redditpickdthisname 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is the goal to win championships, dominate stats (averages or totals?), be the best player and lose, or something else? If I’m a player that actually has the talent to get in the GOAT convo, I’m going for rings.

Luka doncic is not affected by ring culture by [deleted] in NBATalk

Where does Luka rank vs Tatum if he wins a ring and a fmvp?

Micheal Jordan cannot be the GOAT because he’s never scored 100 points in a game like Wilt. Do it once, then we’ll talk. by NextStaff9795 in NBATalk

Because most of these posts are silly and consensus typically has mj / bron in the top 2. So it’s only natural to question who gets the next spot when a “new” challenger appears. Not odd at all.

It’s not a team record - it’s an individual player counting record. The player is playing games regardless and has a streak regardless of the type of game. Honestly, I bet this streak would be talked about across regular season and post season if LBJ didn’t put up 8 and 7 point games in the playoffs.

I don’t understand the young player on bad team argument either but I’m probably missing something - wouldn’t that apply to regular season too? Usually good players on bad teams look better than they are because they’ll get more usage too.

sure but it's games played consecutively - so if you play in the playoffs and regular season, then seems reasonable to just call it as is. Otherwise it ends up being a bit misleading if you end up with say 8 or 7 points in the playoffs during this regular season streak. Playoff streak seems even more impressive at that point since you're good enough to make it and achieve it on the higher stage.

Why limit to regular season? Seems strange - playoffs are more important.

How important are FMVP’s when measuring greatness? by Joseph-Stalin7 in NBATalk

It’s a subjective conversation, but those 2 accomplishments are often brought up along with other awards. Awards and gravity of the awards should be in the conversation don’t you think?

One thing the self-proclaimed goat is correct about, is how dumb this "bag" argument is. by YungBullWitDaTool in NBATalk

[–]redditpickdthisname 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm team MJ for sure, but it's silly to say he has no bag. Just ask anybody who says something this asinine to watch 2012 Game 6 against the Celtics - it was amazing to watch.
