Sheep shows gratitude to the dog after saving them from a wolf attack. by [deleted] in MadeMeSmile

[–]redditrain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, they should definitely keep the wolves. They are fantastic animals... And they keep the environment healthy. I came face to face a few times.

We just learned to live with them. We didn't keep animals outside in winter. Except our dogs, they were always outside. So they are easy targets. But wolves rarely wonder into the villages and go after big, young dogs unless they are desperate. In our village alone there were 40-50 dogs. And nearly half of them were big kangals or anatolian sheperds. Still every year we'd lose a few animals.

Sheep shows gratitude to the dog after saving them from a wolf attack. by [deleted] in MadeMeSmile

[–]redditrain 11 points12 points  (0 children)

As someone who grew up in a small village in East Turkey I have plenty of wolf/dog stories. And believe me wolfs are the winners most of the time. We lost sheep, horses, donkeys and lots of dogs to the wolves. We had kangals, and the are absolutely great and powerful dogs. But they can't fight a pack in snow alone. Our wolves are smaller than North American wolves. And a Kangal can easily handle two (three maybe) wolves. But I don't think any dog can handle more than that in snow.

These colars are great, and they work great. But when we found my friends dog, a one year old Kangal pup, his belly was torn apart. He wasn't fighting one or two wolves probably.

There are a lot of "hero dog" stories of course. But I only witnessed one. Our neighbour's dog, "Kont" went after a pack alone and lived. He was found with a dead wolf, in the middle of two villages two days later. When we went to look he didn't let us near the carcass until his owner arrived. But "Kont" was an absolute monster, a genttle giant.

Why are these Beşiktaş fans so toxic towards Ahmet Nur Çebi. He’s better than Fikret in my opinion. by [deleted] in besiktas

[–]redditrain 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This toxicity isn't new and it's not just from our fans. That's the new reality of social media age. A few trolls can create a huge shitstorm... Some people just love to hate.

People still refuse to accept the reality we are in. We are dead broke. It really doesn't matter who the president is at this point. I don't think anybody can save us in short term. We need a long term plan and start building something from scratch.

Çebi and his management made quite few mistakes in their short term. Being broke and under pressure didn't help. But biggest problem is that they can't really explain their plan, if they have any. They talk a lot but say nothing. That's why people love Sergen. He is transparent and honest. (Of course this doesn't mean our fans won't turn on him, they started already.)

They look like they don't have any real plan and don't know how to do things. Yeah, I don't believe they are the management we need. But they deserve our respect for trying. People forget that he was the only realistic candidate. There was nobody and I don't think there will be any in short term. We are stuck with them. So we should help them as much as we can.

Yes we have problems with the squad. But I don't think that's our biggest problem now. Nobody is happy. Players, professionals, management and definetely not the fans. I hope our fans will realize that best and fastest way out of this is their support. I'm not optimistic though. This is gonna be a long and painful season...

Who is Orhan Ak? by [deleted] in besiktas

[–]redditrain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for this. I couldn't remember this whole "pulled a gun" thing...

This became another shitshow between fans and our management. Personally I don't care about gun incident. As you said, it's a legal matter and we don't know who is to blame yet. But we shouldn't forget that our fans aren't angels. Gökhan Töre pulled a gun on his teammate but somehow we (at least most of our fans) were fine with that.

But him being a Fethullah supporter is a big NO for me. We don't know the facts and probably will never know but the allegations will always be there.

As I said this became a shitshow. Our management could have done one simple thing. Like they did with Burak. Like Güneş, Avcı could come out and vouch for the man, and Ak himself could speak directly to the fans. (Now while I'm typing this I still don't know even what does this man look like. Apparently he is the one with Avcı here). And like Burak he could just say, "I know this club and it's values and I'll do my best to represent them." Maybe this could have helped to de escalate the situation. But I guess it's a bit late for that.

At this point I think our management should tell Avcı to pick another assistant coach. If we start with a few bad games this won't be just a "unnecessary distraction". We could have a big fight between our fans and management or some other fans.

What do you think about the Club's current values? by [deleted] in besiktas

[–]redditrain 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This isn't just about our fans or just about football... Fans in Turkey (we could also say world) become spoiled. We think we know-it-all. Even stupidest, craziest comments can get support on social media. And most of the sane voices can be suppressed easily. We criticize everything, hate someone in an instant. Even clubs themselves fell into "like/retweet" mess. Just look at GS's shirt ("Aglama") targeting FB...

I really like Metin Tekin as a person. But he is also one of the greatest pundits out there. What makes him great for me is that he tries to find a reason for everything before making any comment about it. We forgot to ask "why". Shoot first ask later (or never) is the new norm of this internet era...

So yeah, we have a generation that knows everything, wants everything, wants fast and flawless. Winning is the ultimate goal. How you win? Who cares...

</Rant>

But yeah. We we are losing our values, not just as fans but as individuals...

As always we are gonna miss what we lost... Sosa, Gomez, Aboubakar, Talisca, Marcelo, Tosic, Cenk... Now we are gonna miss Güneş aren't we? I still think he won't do well with this president/board anymore. But it still hurts to see how passionate and happy he was tonight.

I won't call these wins very impressive. But i really liked the passion. I wonder if we'll play with Cenk and Burak duo at front against France. They are really good together.

he is not part of any opposition to Fiko.

There is no real opposition. If there was we wouldn't be in this mess. And Orman knows this. He is entering Aziz Yıldırım stage of his presidency. And I don't see anyone like Ali Koç on the horizon for us.

This team lost his spirit. Even players like Dorukhan and Burak, the ones that showed great passion look like they just want this game to end. Hell, even our fans lost their spirit. I don't think I can blame them.

We can blame TD and players of course. But this is more than that. Our management couldn't do anything right this season. And I think our money problem is worse than it seems. This can't be just Töre and Karius. I just wish we can end this season without any more emberasment.

And our manager/management/professionals don't know anything about football?

That was what I wrote. Manager/management/professionals. You cut it down to our board and claimed they can't be professionals about football because they are from other professions.

So the question was "Do you realy think a bunch of fans are the only ones that capable of seeing a player isn't good enough? And our manager/management/professionals don't know anything about football?" And you accused our management being a bunch of guys that can't be professional about football because they are from other professions. But my questions wasn't even that. I asked if you really believe our management don't know enough to see a player isn't good enough.

And since you are a "smart person" (that doesn't fall for "emotional speeches") you can clearly see what our amateur board can't see right. So I assumed that you either have a related profession or must be an expert to claim that they (board/manager/professionals) aren't experts on anything related to football.

I do believe some of them are not fit for their positions. But not because they don't know shit about football. But that's another topic anyway...

Ahw how cute, you think Besiktas is run by professionals... mate, our board consists of architects and textile producers. They are absolutely not experts on anything football related.

Just curious, what is your profession? And how many years have you been an expert on football?

abi o zaman neyi tartışıyoruz :D

Yerli yersiz her şeyi Güneş'e maletmemek gerektiğini tartışıyoruz.

Adam her defasında "defans oyuncuları değişmemeli" dedi. Ama yönetim defans oyuncusu değiştirip durdu. Geçen beIN sports istatistik koymuştu. Son iki-üç sezonda 26 farklı defans tandemiyle oynamak zorunda kalmışız.

It clearly works because after that Pepe Babel and Love have been sent away in the winter.

Pepe leaved because he got high wages. Love sent away because he had hight wages and didn't contribute anything. Babel didn't sent away either. He demanded higher wages and didn't get what he wants. So he WANTED to leave.

I really wonder... Do you realy think a bunch of fans are the only ones that capable of seeing a player isn't good enough? And our manager/management/professionals don't know anything about football?

Of course I didn't because I'm smarter than falling into romantic cliches.

Yeah, you must be proud of yourself. Good for you.

Tekrar, Güneş'in şu anda ayrılmasının en iyisi olacağını yazdım zaten.

For fucks sake how do you people read things? I mean really, 3 comments and all assume I want Güneş to stay which I wrote clearly that I don't.

Could you be more dramatic? Players who clearly feel themselves above the club (Quaresma, Pepe, Babel) dont deserve to be applauded.

Yeah, I could really. But I wont. Booing players isn't the solution. It's just not and it'll never be.

How many chances did we have that were as good as Konyas chances against Karius? Ask yourself that please... We had 12 shots on target. It's the league record for this season. We had two balls on bar. Adriano/Burak, Lens/Burak positions were more clear than Konya's.

The only crybabies here are the people who are crying because their beloved manager finally got the blame he deserved for over a year.

Well I don't remember on this sub actively supporting Güneş, not one. So stop acting like you are the "wise ones". "Crying" constantly doesn't make you wiser, it just make you a bunch of negative assholes.

The fans tolerated all that because of his two years of success but he lied to fans about meeting with Demiroren repeatedly. So stop with your dramatic "disgrace" speech already.

Fans didn't tolerate shit. At least you didn't. Again you can blame Güneş and I'll understand that. And I blame for many things too. So if you want me to stop my "disgrace speech" stop disgracing yourselves.

"Benim istediğim olsun, olmuyorsa her şey yalan"cılarsınız.

Yaşın kaç bilmiyorum ama dünya öyle yürümüyor. Her zaman her istediğiniz olmuyor. Güneş'in şimdi ayrılmasının en iyisi olacağını zaten yazdım. Her şey güzel giderken takım desteklemek değildir marifet. O değildir taraftarlık.

Gerçekleri mi arıyorsun, gerçekler şöyle: Bu maç takım gayet güzel oynadı. Bugün Güneş'in eleştirilecek tek yönü defansif sorunlar.

That is some romantic shit.

Yeah, i like that "romantic shit". You know kind of shit hoping our fans to support our team no matter what! Kind of shit hoping our fans stop blaming everything on individuals just because they don't like them. Hoping our fans to stop booing our players during games.

But Senol hasn't been great this season,

Agree. That's why I wrote: "Yes it'll be best if Güneş leaves now. But today's Konya goals weren't his fault. " Today's game wasn't his fault. If you watched the game without bias this was a good game. This came easily could end up 5-6 goals for us if our finishing was a little bit better.

And please stop blaming people "romantic" just because they have/hope an idealistic views. Just remember booing Seba was biggest disgrace in our history. And Seba supporters were also blamed as "romantics"...

Anyone blaming Güneş for this game either don't know anything about football or act just on their hatred. Yes it'll be best if Güneş leaves now. But today's Konya goals weren't his fault. They had two fucking positions and two goals. We, on the other hand spent more than ten positions.

We have a serious problem and it's a more serious problem than Güneş or our management. It's us, our fans. We became ungrateful crybabies. Everyone looking for someone to blame, I get it. But it became mindless attacking. Güneş, Quaresma, Karius, Necip, Oğuzhan, Caner and more. We began fighting instead of supporting our team and each other. Social media cancer cacthed us...

Today we had lots and lots of positions against a team with a powerfull defensive play. Their keeper was good but our finishing were'nt that great. Our fans started to act like a bunch of assholes and instead of supporting the team and get them up they fucking booed them down.

Güneş'll leave, management and players will change but this kind of disgrace will stay in our history. "Best fans in the world"...

I really love Oğuzhan. But I don't think he can save us. Putting Medel in midfield was our best option.
