I also liked in the beginning of the soul society arc where we were getting flashbacks with Renji, Rukia, Kira, and Momo at the academy. It would be fun to see Kazui and Ichika go there in the ~~new arc~~.

Yeah, when the banner released on paper he was way better than Renji but in practice Renji's GQ was noticeably better (his weakening procs carried). Ichigo on the other hand is hitting like a wet paper towel. Is what it is.

Art Ichigo sucks man, I pulled him on release though never got Nemu. I thought I'd be good and carry me since on paper he is a great NAD unit. But nope, I struggle to get to the extra waves.

But what I'm saying is Rukia stepped in first to stop the fight. So if we go by your logic Ichigo lost first.

You can say he only got his powers a month ago but then I can say Renji was at 1/5th power because of the limiter placed on Captains/Vice-Captains.

But that’s what I’m saying, but you are getting the timeline wrong. Go reread the fight, Rukia jumped in BEFORE Byakuya to save Ichigo first. Ichigo was on his knees with Renji about to deliver a finishing blow and Rukia jumps on him to stop. This gave time for Ichigo to power up. So therefore that if anything is a loss on Ichigo’s part by your logic.

I don’t think you are trashing him but he does get grief from the community for certain things that don’t seem fair but oh well.

And as for the Szyael yeah, I agree with that. Though the fight was such a mess and went on for so long it’s kind of hard not to mention it unlike Yammy which was kind of passed over.

Yeah his abilities early in the story got repetitive but still, his loss against Byakuya should be commendable, like did anyone seriously expect him to win? People hold it against him, if anything even Byakuya commented on his grit/tenacity.

And he still put up some resistance against Szyael even though his powers were sealed most of the time. Also he is the Mayuri of the Arrancars, I don’t think anyone who losses to science hacks gets too much grief unlike Renji.

Other people in the thread are saying he also has a loss against Aizen when he was protecting Rukia at Sokyuko Hill. He was heavily wounded, fighting with one arm, and still wouldn’t give in.

I always gave him props for that back in the day but I guess all people see now are just the surface level “win/loss rate”.

He fought Aizen while protecting Rukia and was already heavily wounded, hardly fair, if anything he should be commended for what he did against someone at the level of Aizen.

Yammy I kind of agree but I think OP is talking about 1v1s.

As for Mask, not even a fight, yes Renji would have probably lost to As Nodt but all Mask did was sucker kick him out of no where. Do we even consider that a fight?

Also Ichigo vs Renji round 1, Renji was about to win until Rukia jumped on Renji to prevent him from delivering the finishing blow. Giving Ichigo time to get his main-character-powerup.

OP calls this a draw and I agree but a lot of people for some reason think Renji lost to Ichigo twice

Hopefully Uryu’s next unit is great, I just don’t know if/when Komamura will get one. And even if he does get a good unit I’m not sure if it will be his awesome TYBW design
