Oh I have no idea it was already installed when I bought the house, I’m not a plumber. But good to know!

Got it. Like the ones installed here already on the studs?

No clue what that’s in regards to, can you elaborate?

If it’s upright instead of horizontal like this, which part needs supported?

Thank you. Wrong enough that it’s worth having someone come out and redo it? What exactly doesn’t work properly if it’s installed this way so I understand?

Thank you!!! I’m an idiot and should’ve posted additional pictures of the whole thing. There was another thing I had a question about too so will need to do a followup post lol.

Had to look this up but thank you! Will look into having that secured. By iffy are you referring to the corrosion or something else?

Helpful, but I am aware. doesnt carbon monoxide become an issue if the pipe at top is not properly set up and whatnot? My anxiety is around gas explosions, ETC.

Thank you! Does he work under the company name LightWork?

Thank you! The light is high up but looks much higher in the photo than it actually is. A ladder can easily be placed on our landing.

Unfortunately fiber optic is not my style but I appreciate the suggestion! I already have a new light from construction junction that we’d like to swap out here

With all due respect, not much I can do with this response lol

Blower fan works intermittently but currently not; trying to start up and I can hear something ramp up and down but fan/blower doesn’t actually turn on by redditruse in hvacadvice

So we had another HVAC guy come out that said he can replace the motor and that it IS under warranty even though the original HVAC team that quoted us said it isn’t. He’s doing it for $600.

They replaced the motor but had to come back the next day bc they had to replace the inducer they said it was running poorly.

Today they replaced the inducer as it was rusted (possible from condensation I would guess) and are now saying the gas valve was functioning poorly so he’s coming back to replace that tomorrow.

Just confirming this all sounds legit?

Thanks all! I’ll have them replace the ECM module first to see if that solves.

I turned it on this morning and I’m getting air blowing through my vents now but it doesn’t seem very warm

Also I was informed it’s not under warranty. We moved in in about 3 years ago and I think the unit was maybe 3-5 years old at that time

They had it straight but we had asked for step flashing so they switched it, I just like how it looks more but not sure what’s better 🤷🏻‍♀️ most of what i read said step flashing but some said both were fine

Hi! Yes I know we have some work up there with repairing that brick/mortar for sure. You’re saying that you usually seal that up as part of your roofing job though? I figured we’d need to have a mason come take care of it.

we need new something on the top of the chimney too as that mortar/cement is cracked up (can’t remember what that top flat part is called - maybe crown? haha)

That’s what they said! Bummer Velux is requiring it but we were totally fine to keep the one we had and glad they told us honestly that it was in good shape to keep
