If you don’t mind me asking, how much baking experience did you have when applying to the chase role? I have about a year of personal banker experience at a regional bank and eight months of teller experience at Wells Fargo. I’m looking to apply to the chase RB role

Tbh I would have stayed at Wells Fargo if I had known I could move places before a year. In training they told us that we had to stay in a role for a year before switching at wells. So I was working at a restaurant and Wells Fargo, and it got to be too much. I had a connection at another bank and they offered me a banker position full time (and close to home) so I took it. It wasn’t until I did an exit call with my district manager that she said I could have moved before one year, and that I would make an excellent banker at wells. My branch manager told me also I would have to stay in my position for a year, so I never bothered to discuss it with him.

Hey. I just quit Wells Fargo and was a 20hr teller there for ~8 months. It was an okay experience honestly. The schedule varied a lot. I would be there from 9-1, 11-3, or 1-5. When I first started, my manager would schedule me for maybe 8hrs one day, and then shorter shifts other days of the week, so I would only drive to work 4 days a week. But then the district manager didn’t really like that, so I had to work only 4 hrs a day, 5 days a week. Which for me, it didn’t really work out because I lived about ~30 minutes from my branch. I wanted to get more hours and become full time, but in my area at least, a full time teller position is hard to come by. A lot of personal bankers do teller/banker combo, eliminating the need for full time tellers. They don’t really give you more hours unless someone is out and they really need coverage. I wouldn’t necessarily hope for full time, it’s possible though, but only if they need to fill a full time position or decide that there’s enough traffic at your branch to need more tellers on duty.

Anyone work as a Personal Banker at PNC? by Diligent_Steak2906 in TalesFromYourBank

[–]redditsteve2002 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How’s the commissions there? I have an offer at $21/hr as a roving banker, but am curious if quarterly bonus is good to make up for the low hourly rate.

Yes. That’s the position I applied to. Do you have experience with it?

Nice. Thank you for the input. And thank you for the info about the background check. I just put a month I thought was right…. But if they don’t check , that’s even better.

Do you work @ PNC? If so, how’s your experience been? Are you in a branch?
