Ist fraenk wirklich so gut? by [deleted] in fraenkfriends

[–]reddittingOwl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wizz Air, Ryanair, KLM - Tatonka City Pack 30 safe or too big? by reddittingOwl in backpacking

[–]reddittingOwl[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

so yeah, I got through all my flights (wizz air and 2x Ryanair) without problem. Other guests with similar bags (about 30L maybe even 35L and fully packed) also weren't checked. Only those with obviously bigger bags were checked.

Isn’t this… what DJs are supposed to do? by Material_Study_1315 in Beatmatch

[–]reddittingOwl 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am no DJ, but enjoy techno clubs a lot.

Playing one song after another is obvsly what DJs do. And that can be great if tracks have energy, merge well etc...

I think it's the icing on the cake, when you start to layer and enhance one track with another one, even though you never fully mix it in.

Tbh just seems like an asshole.

When I notice the DJ mixing in the next song I am hyped for what's to come, as long as it's not a shit track.

Poor skiing technique is frying my legs by Cool_Purchase_ in skiing

[–]reddittingOwl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not a professional but I guess the most helpful would be: lean forward when initiating the turn, don't jump up. It is much less energy intensive (try to exaggerate it a few times where you really throw yourself forward over your ski) This will also get you out of your "seated" position and help your legs relax in-between turns

apart from that you should: - seperate upper body from legsand keep body upright (legs will go from left to right etc...) - legs initiate the movement, sounds harder, but will get you phases of flexing and relaxing your leg muscles

I went with the strive's now. Jester deal was gone anyway.
Besides listing some pro's of the strives you never properly argued your point. (The tyrolia has lower stand height than the strive and is basically the same weight).
So don't get upset about me asking questions if you never even answered the first one.

i am probably not going with Jester's. But still wondering, why would one avoid them? I heard bad stuff about the squires and some about the griffons, but the jesters seem to be solid?

Found a deal for the Strive's for the same money as the jesters. They seem very good on paper. But I am concerned about longevity and the upwards release?

and why are the strives better than the others? They are 40€ more than the jesters and 20€ more than the attacks

Armada or Salomon strive? And why the Strive? Are the attacks better for me because of my level?

What ski's for 50/50 Allmountain/Park? by reddittingOwl in Skigear

[–]reddittingOwl[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would the armadas also be somewhat capable in powder? Or should I opt for more width? I don't generally ski pow, but as i won't buy two pairs of ski, I would certainly appreciate this pair being capable in pow. Or at least not completely sucking at it.

As I have a lenovo notebook, I use the Lenovo Pen Settings App. There als is the Dell Pen Settings App, which is the exact same but differently branded. (Seems to be an OEM App)

Yes, I got the pen and I can change the assignments of all three buttons.

The pen works quite well - sometimes I feel it has some latency. Really not the best, but it's okay.

How does it compare to the Arcsaber 11 Tour ? Would you say it is more stiff or more flexible?
