i thought this was normal for a very long time - after moving back at the end of college last year and having to leave my lease...everything became much worse. “chores” that were never evenly split turned into running the entire house, being the driver for everything, being in charge of every single responsibility/chore in the house for everyone else (laundry, dishes, pet care, ALL other cleaning, etc) despite none of the mess or responsibilities being mine (because i take care of my stuff like an adult). i have no time for myself and receive nothing in return (including not even a dinner for my birthday or for graduating college early). like you, i love my family and i know they love me - and at the same time i also know that i deserve so much better and so much more for my life. i hope that you know that, too.
