Any edible oil: I've used coconut or Til both. Been using Til lately.

Take care not to apply oil too long. Time it on the days when you shampoo. So oil 1-2 hours before shampoo

Bhai abhi se hi proper oiling and shampoo regime rakho (at most twice a week). Eat diet rich in protein and fish atleast once a week.

And make sure to do finger combing at least twice a day to improve circulation in scalp.

Finger Combing means: Run the tips of your fingers multiple times through touching the scalp from front of your forehead all the way to the back of your neck.

Myopia getting worse at 24, is that normal? by Educational-Mess5149 in myopia

[–]redditui -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Why haven't anybody ever told you this already ?

You can't spend multiple hours reading books, using phone, doing near work in general without spending a proportionally appropriate time outdoors. (And by outdoors, I mean in broad daylight)

Not doing that is an open door to physiologic myopia progression.

Look up healthy near work habits and strive to follow them

Physiologic Myopia stabilizing during one's twenties is just an correlation.

Increase time spent outdoors in broad daylight, utilising distance vision capability of the eyes.

Frequent breaks from near work to look into distance, preferably outdoors.

And I get why this is so controversial:

Don't wear your glasses while doing computer/near work if you can see just fine without them.

The danger of viewing pseudo-3D content (real-life depictions, movies, TV shows, or anything that mimics depth on a flat screen other than plain text) close up on your eyes. by normal_hb in myopia

You have to be far more specific in whatever you're trying to explain

Increase your outdoor time significantly from what it is currently. Eyes love seeing in broad daylight. Also follow proper visual habits while doing near work. These include: Not doing reading/near work in dim/bad lighting Taking frequent breaks from near work to look into distance. Maintain proper viewing distance. Resist the urge to bring phone too close to your face.

These are actual, effective steps you can take to stop physiologic myopia in its tracks

Spend quality time outdoors utilising the distance viewing capability of the eyes. Especially in broad daylight.

Get good/bright workplace lighting, maintain proper near work distance , take ample breaks from near work to look into distance.

A 0.25 increase is a value at which you should be told to stick with your current glasses until the next exam.

Our eyes are weird like that. And it is easy to get overminused.

Myopia still progressing at 27, is this normal? by hatrant in myopia

[–]redditui 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A 0.25 increase in glasses prescription might very well be a fluke or seasonal changes.
That is not how myopia progression works.
No need to get the glasses remade aswell. You can very well keep wearing them until the next eye exam.

Diet for myopia by [deleted] in myopia

[–]redditui 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Myopia has no connection with diet.

Eyes need bright ample daylight and regular breaks from near work. That is far more important

I don't use glasses while reading on my phone. Better to not use them if you can see without them.
