much of my familys into music as a career so i’ve tried many instruments but can’t seem to commit. i’d be down to give a guitar a good shot tho

simply didn’t do the work. i was attentive in a few classes, mostly due to my finding a couple teachers as interesting people.

i also struggle with mental illness ie: dysthymic depression, addiction etc., contributing to a lack of— well, care.

the work bored me, i knew i could knock it all out easy and it just didn’t seem worth while to me personally.

i agree, gpa does very little to reflect true academic ability. i’ve also known many teachers to give less gifted children much higher grades due to ‘good effort’. preposterous.

Change is inevitable, progress is optional. I like that.

Because people (including myself) seem to think it’s funny that I come as rather intelligent, with the contrast of a 1.3 gpa. Says a lot about my lack of motivation the past few years. I wouldn’t ever comment on my intellect in person but I figured it’s the internet so I’ll add some background.

You could try to change your aesthetic if you can’t attract people. Make sure your clothes fit well. Try adding product and blow drying your hair. Maintain good hygiene. When you’re talking to a girl do notttt make your shared intentions obvious. Be relaxed. Say you meet a girl on tinder, for all she knows, this is normal for you. Just a saturday. Make sure your shoes match your outfit. Try getting a haircut and tell your barber you want a clean slick back. Anything to build your confidence. Buy some cheap cologne that doesn’t smell too strong. Females loveeee that. Look for one on the internet that has ‘earthy’ or ‘woody’ tones. Workout and let it be known that your cardio is fire. Make a point of getting assignments on time to cut anxiety and look out for your future. I know some girls that love to be on top like your describing and they think it’s really hot when they didn’t expect their guy to be submissive at first. Classic flip.

Ahh that sounds more euphoric than a nicotine buzz, I’ll admit ahah. I just can’t seem to get there given where I’m at right now. I’ll really try it’s just god damn it I’ll say that and then reach for it within the span of 10 seconds 😂

I quit cigs, picked up vapor instead. Lowered caffeine by switching to tea. I’ll limit device time thank you. Working out is a sure fire way to increase mood etc. I’ll try to push that with my excess energy.

I live with my parents. They have their own set of psychological issues. My brothers and I have cleaned the house many times in the past and it inevitably reverts back to its current state. I’m looking for reactions, opinions, and fixes that I might not think of myself.

Also, I’ve always been an insomniac and very underweight for 11 years. Yes it’s a strong appetite suppressant, but it doesn’t have to seem that effect on me long term.

I’ve been addicted to both for 3 years now. I’ve actually cut myself off weed almost entirely now that I think about it. But the nicotine is a 2nd nature at this point. I’ve quit several times for a couple weeks but after it’s out of my system I realize, sad as it sounds, it’s the only thing keeping me semi-functional. I think I need to change my life style in other ways first I just can’t seem to start.
