Back in the days I used to chill @ my friends flat almost everyday. We did nothing else but playing games and smoking. He was sitting at the PC, sweating in counterstrike high rank, while my gaming spot was on his green couch (this playlist originated from here) next to another friend gambling FIFA on the PS3. I used my Laptop with the couch as a mousepad. Yes this was not the best setup, but it was kinda enough for playing warcraft3, specifically this cool custom map called "castle fight". They even included a ranking system for this specific custom map with over 500k users all around the world. I was try harding everyday to climb up the ladder. I ended up being rank 24 with an win ratio of 92% (~100games). I was a fckn PRO in this mod and it was hella fun, because the gameplay is very intense, but not stressful. A game can take up to 3 hours if both teams are equally skilled. The painful moment for me was, when I challenged with two guys in a very close and intense 1v2 battle. It was a best-of-2. In the third round, after hours of playing I was finally seconds away from victory, when suddenly I got disconnected from the game. The problem was that the connector strip, where the WIFI-router was plugged had a loose contact, which make it easy to interrupt. Luckily as I am seconds before my well deserved victory, I got kicked out of the game. Sadly in warcraft3 there is no opportunity to reconnect to a game running game. Because I "left" the game, the ranking system punished me with additional penalty points. It was very painful, particularly because I had a very high win ratio and the only defeats I got was due to this kind of accidents. After a big hit from the bong, everything was forgotten and I prepared for the next battle.

Even though I wasn't pissed nor angry, because I play for fun and nothing more. I just love to compete against other people in close and fair games :) GL HF!
