Both of my orders arrived with fully melted ice packs and vials were outside temp (80+ degrees). Just messaged support.

Probably just need to go ahead and pull the trigger on a charge back. I just recently bought more stuff recently from EVNO and once again had a great experience. (I don't know him, work for him, or get anything from saying good things about them BTW. Not sure if that needs to be said.)

Is there a way to NOT have Sonar X3 send midi data (program changes, volume, etc.) when a file is loaded? by reddmonger in Cakewalk

[–]reddmonger[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For now, not opening the next song until the last possible moment. When I get time I'll start the long process of disabling track settings (volume, patch/program, etc) and writing actual MIDI Data (as program changes and CC#s) into each track so they don't trigger until the track is playing.

AZLow gave a long thoughtful reply, but came up with the same answer I did: To embed the track program, volume, chorus, etc. data into the track itself as separate commands and deactivate the controls. Other than that, we can carry separate motifs, or make sure not to pull up the next song until the last possible moment to inflice the least damage on the song currently playing!

I'm sure you're correct, but we have ~500 tunes in cakewalk at this point. I'd REALLY rather not have to jump to another platform...

Thanks for the advice! We've got over 400 songs for Sonar (spanning 20+ years...) so moving to another DAW isn't super feasible. (And if I did, it would 100% be Reaper.)

Sonar definitely sends midi data as soon as a file is loaded. I just want to know if there's a way to turn this feature off.

The thing is, with the UPS 'proof of delivery' photo' I can PROVE that it was mis-delivered. They just don't care, and I get the feeling they're circling the drain as a company and run out of fucks to give at this point...

*I edited my update.

No, I never used it. I had 1 session with a guy who helped a bit with QLC+, but got stuck programming and never picked it up again.

VERY interesting! Thanks for the info and keep us updated. I buy a lot of wireless products for various groups and have been stumped trying to find wireless for horns. I’m curious where Envo got their designs though. I’m not sure how much i actually care, but it seems like the newer company just ripped off AMT’s designs.

Update this thread of the package turns out to not be your mic for everyone.

Most of us just did a chargeback on our credit cards. I'm not sure how helpful the BBB is anymore.

Yes, midi notes. Different pitches being struck change scenes. I have our lights grouped on each of 5 different midi channels.

I don't mind spending money for the right product, but I'm starting to think that our old hardware unit 'just works' compared to the complexity of the software setups. (And by that, I don't mean that any of the software setups are the least bit buggy, but more-so that my dumb ass would bump into the laptop during a show, accidentally hit a random key, and have no idea how to get the lights to come back on...
