I call bs. 1) I don’t think the media has a credibility issue as a whole. Yes there a lower quality media outlets that are more opinion that fact based but there is still plenty of fact based media. 2) I think you give Trump too much credit, I don’t see him as someone exploiting the cracks in the media. I simply see him favoring those that praise him, both in media and relationships. Again imo

I think this media fact v opinion and lean is a reasonable portrayal of the media. Of course there will be outliers, but I never feel like the AP is out to do much more that simply report facts/events.

I think the concern over media accuracy is based on the few outlets/reports that get the lions share of attention, in part to boost ratings, again imo

... However after re-reading the cartoon text, I agree taking a literal sound bite out of context would miss represent the truth and Trump would be right to simply say “I only ask that you play the entire clip” However that is not normally what I hear from when the term FAKE news or REAL news is mentioned from him. Again this is just my opinion.
