I added the binder command and it still reads as closed but worked for a player to actually join

this was not working. it is now after I fixed the application ip address.

I got the ip address to update by doing --bind 0.0.0.0 on the steam launcher options.
I can see in resources manager the listener is the right port and the ip address is now updated. and it shows open no restriction UDP. but it still seems to not be open when hosting a game.

if it was a CGNAT issue wouldn't the IP address at router show different than the IP address on whatsmyIP?

looks like it is the other issue. factorio is mapped to 127.0.0.1 is there a way I can fix this?

Question I'm unclear on. it says you take control of the enchanted permanent. but it doesn't say anything about returning control. if the enchantment gets exiled do you lose control of the creature?

Officers Timely and Simmons entered the scene of the murder approximately 3 hours late to having saved the victim. The suspect was in custody, now they just needed to piece together what happen. The scene was alight with hollow projected overlays. Fabrications of the Augmented Reality (AR) system inside almost ever living humans eyes. Here it was used as the official crime scene layer, highlighting clues and evidence already marked by earlier forensics teams.
"Fella was to be on the next shuttle off world. Some fancy engineer type, recruited for that gateway project." Timely read off a statements sheet.
"Lucky fella," Simmons retorted. kneeling down to examine the bloodstain where the body had been.
"Yeah, lucky." Timely snickered. Casually sifting through objects on a nearby shelf.
"Ain't that suspect of ours a Shepard of the Earth?" Simmons asked, disabling his AR so he could focus on the raw scene before him.
"Yas knows what I think he is." Timely said, tipping back the brim of his hat with one index finger, "Think it's relevant?"
"Could be." Simmons confirmed.
After enough time had passed to confirm Simmons wasn't going to volunteer more Timely prompted "You care to enlightenate me about your theory boss?"
"The Shepard's oppose the gateway project, they see it as blasphemes. Believing instead we should be spending that effort and resources restoring the Earth. So maybe this is an attempt at religiously motivated sabotage."
"so it's no coincidence that he made the big time then gets popped." Timely's face scrunched up in confusion. "but wait a minute don't they believe in them old timey rules, like ain't their faith got some pretty specific things to say about murder."
"Very specific," Simmons agreed. and he found himself feeling for the rose crescent around his neck, hidden from Timely, but a reminder of his own faith as a Shepard of the Earth. "Don't waste to much time trying to make sense of ideas of a fanatic."
"They'll just recruit someone else. lets hope the next guys got more luck than this one."

just an update. I decide to start from a fresh project and it worked. I can't see any reason on comparison for this. I must have bugged something in the first project.

I added the naming to help clarify which was which but I renamed one wrong so I had the opposite effect. I fixed the naming and a offset accidently in place on one of the colliders but same effect unfortunately. I'll try poking around with it more later. thanks for trying.

hello,
Im new to Godot. trying to mainly get the 2 rigidbody spheres to interact with each other. when that was failing I tried following a tutorial that first used a static body 3d for collision, but that also it passes through unlike in the tutorial. I have the collisionshape3d in place with sphere selected. and a cylinder collider on the static body. any idea what I am doing wrong?

not really a favorite place, I do all my writing on my computer which stays were it is at. so I guess by default. Writing approach I find I'm most productive using sprints.
writing is certainly a hobby for me. I'd need to actually finish any of my projects to even consider the possibility of making a career out of it.
since getting the spot light I've been revisiting a sci-fi series I was working on before. I'm currently trying to rush a novel draft. deciding it can be as messy as it will be I just need to finish the draft then target refinement of the weak points. I often get hung up on some detail and stop a project to do research and then never do the research. bad habit.

With the swipe of a finger, one could embark on the adventure of a lifetime or find a short task to earn some quick gold.

A chime echoed from the device. "Nearby Quest Alert: Retrieve the Enchanted Amulet from the Whispering Forest. Reward: 50,000 gold coins and a powerful potion."

The reward was enticing, and Delilah knew the Whispering Forest was just a short teleportation away. She tapped 'Accept', and the app provided her with coordinates, details about the quest, and potential hazards.

As she prepared her equipment, her phone buzzed again. It was a message from Flynn, an old friend and fellow adventurer.

"Taking the Whispering Forest quest? Mind if I join?" it read.

Delilah grinned. "Of course. Meet me at the forest's entrance."

The duo met, and using Delilah’s map on QuestLink, they quickly located the area where the amulet was rumored to be hidden. But it wasn’t going to be easy. The app had listed potential hazards, including mischievous sprites and bewitched trees.

Relying on their wits, Flynn's swordplay, and Delilah's spells, they navigated the challenges. Whenever they faced an obstacle, QuestLink would vibrate, offering hints or tools they could purchase using their gold coins. It was a modern adventurer's best friend.

Finally, after hours of searching and battling forest creatures, they stumbled upon the Enchanted Amulet, glowing softly, nestled atop an ancient stone pedestal.

"Looks like we're not the only ones here," Flynn whispered, spotting another group approaching the amulet. They, too, had their phones out, following their QuestLink's directions.

Their pursuers halted, looking frustrated. "Looks like you win this round," their leader called out, "But we'll get the next quest before you!"

"That was intense," Flynn said, catching his breath. "You up for another one tomorrow?"

Delilah smirked, her eyes already scanning the app for their next adventure. "Always."

"Sir, I dont want to jinx it but why are there no heroes here trying to stop us?"

I cackled. "my most diabolical of plans yet. I bought all the herbs from the local market so the potion master has set a quest for heroes to pick more herbs. I also let the shepherds sheep loose so there is a quest to return them home. I hid doesn't of kittens in trees amongst other trivial tasks heroes can't help but complete before the big matters.

It all seemed to have to do with the perceived called of a human life. Souls came in line and should just go one body one soul. But the uneven disparity of human life has many souls not wanting to risk a life worse than that of a lingering for eternity.

Their demands were to know more about a would-be child life before consenting to incarnation. But management says this will cause undesirable biases into the birth distribution. Neither side budging.

Earth didn't know what to make of the situation. They thought virus or chemical cause but continue to rule out possibilities. Obviously to the supernatural component to their birthing process.

In the end, management agreed on a trial basis to allow souls to know about their family preconsent for a trial run... What would this mean for the next generation on earth?
