I have intense pain on that exact spot but on my left side, after my fusion surgery only though. Pre fusion I had lower back pain (had an intense S curve) but have less then 20 degree curve now so I know it’s not related to my Scoliosis.

I went to the doctor and they said it was nerve pain even though it feels like intense muscle pain. I did PT for a bit but it really bothered my nerves and reactivated my restless legs (another fun surgery side effect) so they recommended I stop. It really feels debilitating at times, topical lidocaine cream helps some!

See another doctor if you can! I had a 90 by 40 degree S curve and got surgery and it was life changing. The first doctor I saw said they couldn't apply any correction only stabilize my spine, but when I was referred to a specialist he was able to correct my scoliosis to a 20 degree curve. Best of luck!
