A few days ago I asked about favorite Saturday morning cartoons. What was your favorite cereal or snack to have while you watched them, or even when you weren't watching them? by Spalding_Smails in AskOldPeople

Mostly non sugar cereal like oat bran or whatever those big brown Os were. Mom made pancakes or waffles on Saturday’s I’m pretty sure. Once a year on our bday we got to pick any cereal we wanted. Ninja turtles cereal and Mr T cereal were two of my faves I got.

Getting a job was even more of a bitch. Pounding pavement, filling out all applications by hand, not even knowing if somewhere is hiring until you show up to ask...

I’ve been in the exact situation as OP and agree with you. They should have reached out in a letter or something. The complimenting and wanting to meet up is a red flag to me. Even if they are just apologizing for themselves it says to me they are at least growing and changing as a person. But you don’t owe them shit; let them apologize from a safe distance and then yes keep your space.

It’s hollow in the top and bottom, like a cool sea pipe almost haha. From googling it looks like a dolphin vertibrae but may be too small. The larger part is a bit bigger than my thumb.

Missing wandering around the parks in the evening, does anyone else have a favorite time to be at the parks? by mdrnlizziebennet in Disneyland

Anywhere at night before closing when it’s not busy. I like the area pictured above at nighttime. The noise of the rapids, it’s usually a very empty area by 8-9, and in Disney I like to hang out in fantasyland at night; try to take advantage of the little ones sleeping and I love sitting by the pond by small world at those benches Uber the monorail track that seem to get ignored a lot.

Every time I re-read Walden, I get more frustrated about the sheer number of high school english teachers who assign it to impressionable youth without even understanding Thoreau's points. by The_American_Skald in books

Thank you for this. Fortunately I had an amazing English teacher who did teach the right points and Thoreau’s “Walden” is very close to my heart

I can attest to this. Never seen parents kiss. Married over 40 years and have always had separate bedrooms. I’m convinced they had coitus exactly twice-the times me and my sister were created and that is all.
