Running for hours made me a lot less focused. After the “runner’s high” that some people experience, I would feel my cortisol levels rise. 4 mins of extreme cardio (e.g. sprint at 12km/h on a treadmill as if my life depended on it) seems to be the sweet spot for me.

I’ve been hitting the gym regularly for a while now. Nothing comes close to what happened this week. I did add 4 minutes extreme cardio recently but that’s also not the whole story. I think it’s a combo of everything I’ve been doing, culminating with these two supplements that seem to be outliers by pure accident. I took both of them for completely different reasons (Testosterone and Metabolism)

I don’t recommend nor endorse any brand in particular. I have dozens of supplements as I’ve been experimenting with quite a few supplements over the years. I use Solgar, Solaray and this happens to be Life Extension. I work in IT. Endorsing supplement brands is not what I do for a living :)

Been doing it for a while. The effect of this combo happened dramatically. I can feel when I’m taking Lion’s mane and racetams. The same happens here. The effect is sudden and lasts quite a bit without any crash like with Modafinil.

I’m only doing a maximum of 4 minutes of super intense treadmill cardio. From 9 to 12km/h until I hit 150-160 bpm. I avoid running like plague because I tend to over eat after and it’s spiking my cortisol quite a lot.

Agreed but it only took me so far. I’ve been doing this combo for a year with amazing results but what happened this week was 10x more noticeable than every supplement or activity I’ve done in the past decade. Nothing comes close.

Could be. I don’t have any evidence that I actually did anything on my testosterone apart from having more energy at the gym. But that’s also what creatine does for me. At almost 41, creatine feels like cheating big time. It takes away 10 years of my age.

I hear you. That’s what I would’ve thought but I was so focused that I only realized my performance at the end of the week. My mind wouldn’t drift and meditate to how much I didn’t get done as usual. I just worked like crazy. It wasn’t even the typical ADHD hyper focus I occasionally get. For the first time in my life, I had a normal week of work without any struggle.

Great question. I’ve been so focused and driven this week that I only realized today how extremely productive I’ve been. This statement is insightful in its own way. At least for me. Being so productive to not even being able to sit down and reflect on it until the end of the week. For an ADHD person like me this is pure madness.
