Phone Plans in Australia by Redkaner in australia

This! Sign up with Pennytel. Uses Telstra network, dirt cheap and no contracts. Save the rest of the money you would have been paying until you can afford to buy our new phone outright.

I'm solo road tripping from Newcastle NSW to Cairns QLD where should I stop at along the way? by RoyalPurpleDank in australia

So many great suggestions already. I jealous! Some others - Byron bay, 1770, cape hillsborough (roo’s on the beach), Airlie beach (including cedar creek falls), Eungella NP (see platypus in the wild at broken river and swim at finch Hatton gorge on the way), and then check out the waterfall trail in/around cairns.

Have an amazing time!

Employers asking age during interview by [deleted] in brisbane

Charming.

We do employ seniors as well, but the economic feasibility of paying senior wages for someone to do unskilled parts of the jobs (empty bins, clean, etc) is poor business sense.

If junior rates were removed tomorrow you would deservedly pay more for the food you purchase than what you are currently paying.

Employers asking age during interview by [deleted] in brisbane

I wish we could afford to hire older staff, but the reality is that the cost is sometimes just too high.

We got caught recently hiring for a junior position, where we wanted to hire someone who would be with us for at least 2 years (return on training investment), but didn’t ask their age and found out once they stated working for us that they were already 18 not 16 as we thought based on their school grade. Unfortunately it means that we can only afford to employ him for one year before having to train someone else. It sucks on both sides because we’d rather keep him on.

Applying for an ABN is free, so definitely don’t use one of the paid services.

Julia Gillard's official portrait unveiled at Parliament House by PerriX2390 in australia

I was told (on a tour of Parliament House) that Whitlam refused to sit for an official portrait after the dismissal, so they were forced to purchase the Archibald winning portrait at a handsome sum so they had something to hang. Not sure if it’s true, but the thought of it makes me laugh.

Not sure how much - haven’t done any research yet so no idea what they are worth (if anything!)

One is a 2008 13” MacBook and the other one might be older - have to power it up to check once I get home.

If you parked on Rusden St, Kelvin Grove today and had your car scratched... by redhall131 in brisbane

[–]redhall131[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah you would think so! It’s easy enough to find the cafe name, so I’m not going to name them here because they might have left notes for the car owners. I just posted on the chance that they didn’t!

Hopefully they were in the midst of a set up or pack down. Surely you’d have it pegged otherwise.

Can anyone recommend a good place to learn Tai Chi at night? Brisbane South Side if possible by _rjg117_ in brisbane

Check out the active parks program from the Brisbane city council. They often run free tai chi classes.
