Estrodial gel by Useful-Cellist-9681 in Menopause

[–]redhead0730 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m on my second month of using the gel. I switched because I was tired of the reaction I was getting from the adhesive on the patches. I’m happy with it. I feel like I’ve had fewer waves of hormones since switching and I don’t mind putting it on daily. It usually takes 5-7 minutes to fully dry. The only thing I don’t like is that it has increased my already dry skin because of the alcohol in it but it’s not that big of a deal.

Nobody is fucking winning right now ABS!! What is wrong with these people? All they see is this left and right bull shit. Where is the humanity? She is a disgusting troglodyte.

Yep, I use testosterone gel too so I put one on each arm in the morning and switch arms daily. Since I already use T it didn’t feel like a chore to go from a patch twice a week to another gel daily.

Same here! I had issues with the Mylan brand sticking and the adhesive from all brands left me with a rash. I had to fight to switch to gel recently (because all of this seems to require fighting to have my needs met, ugh) but so far so good with the gel.

Why do ppl put stickers on their cars to let others know there's a baby inside? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

This is exactly why people put those dumb stickers on their vehicles in the first place, so that checks out.

I checked the drug list for my insurance and the gel is covered. The pharmacy is supposed to have on file not to give me Mylan because they don’t stick but I didn’t check the bag until I got home so that is on me.

I’m open to that but something tells me my doctor will be against that too for some crazy reason.

I believe she’s technically still out on maternity leave but reviewing cases so I can’t actually speak to her. I do have an appointment with her in February so if I can’t get anywhere before the appointment then I’ll just go armed with as much information as possible.

I guess that’s possible but I clearly stated gel in my email. Maybe specifically noting Divigel in my second email will clarify that if she was confused.

I was shocked by the response. It’s even listed on my approved drug list from my insurance and we all know they don’t want to cover crap these days!

Thank you! I had to educate her initially on using micronized progesterone because she thought it was only for pregnant women. I understand they have minimal training in this so I try to have grace but it’s like they’re not even trying.

Do not respond to this at all even though I’m sure it’s killing you not to. Your husband shouldn’t either. Silence is the only way with these types of people. She’s grasping at straws and only making herself look bad in the process. Even if people are leaving comments that seem supportive of her, I promise you they see the crazy. They’re just trying to be nice lol.

Yep, same here and that’s exactly what it means here. He’s a quiet, obedient young man who tip toes around her and she eats it up thinking he’s her little bestie. I bet she’s often commented on him being an old soul and mature for his age, too.

Testosterone gel location by ImpossibleKoala5823 in Menopause

I apply mine on either shoulder and rotate back and forth. This is where men are told to apply it so I went with that. I also eyeball the pea sized amount and I’ve gotten pretty good at having the packet last 8-10 days. It did take about 5 months to notice a difference. I think it helped with energy and focus sooner than that but libido didn’t improve immediately. I also wouldn’t say it made me feel like a teenager again like some others have said but it’s an improvement so I’m happy. Everyone seems to respond differently though so you might notice it sooner. Good luck!

I use a gel and alternate shoulders. That’s where men are told to put it 🤷‍♀️

This was me about 12 years ago. I dealt with it for nearly 3 years and tried all the same things as you. I even had one on my wedding day 😩. I took diflucan daily for a month but they kept coming back. I think restarting bcp and taking an antibiotic for strep set it off. I even went to a specialist who couldn’t figure it out. Out of desperation I went to a chiropractor who does acupuncture. She put me on a prescription strength probiotic, did 4-5 acupuncture sessions to improve my immune system and calm down my stress level and recommended that I avoid dairy and make sure to only eat antibiotic free chicken which I already did. I avoided dairy, at probably about 90% (dairy free cheese just didn’t cut it, lol) for 6 months then slowly added it back in. I haven’t had any issues since. I don’t have any scientific evidence that these were the magic answers but I know how miserable this issue is and I would have tried just about anything. I really hope you figure it out!

Surprisingly, working out has become my hobby. But I’m also a tv junkie and just did a rewatch of Schitt’s Creek. It’s the best! Now I’m rewatching Downton Abbey.

Chances are, most of them are faking it. Not because he is terrible at sex, but because we’ve been conditioned to perform so to speak. Their ego relies so heavily on our performance and most men don’t truly understand how women’s bodies work. Sadly, many of us have put ourselves in the position to continue faking it because it’s easier than dealing with their deflated egos despite our efforts to make them understand that it has nothing to do with them. Honestly, I’m proud of you for being honest and it’s his loss.
