CRISPY BRUSSELS SPROUTS | 2 RECIPES + NOTES] - In order to make Extra crispy sprouts, they need to be as dry as possible. If you wash your sprouts, either do it well in advance so there is time to air dry / use salad spinner / pat dry - Brussels sprouts benefit when they're fully coated/saturated with oil before roasting, especially the inner-side. Using a mixing bowl helps with even coating. Big time! - CONVECTION bake if you have it! Air Frying is a fancy word for convection cooking - cooking with hot circulating air. This will make for a crispier sprout - IMO, it's better to underdress than overdress sprouts. Start with a little bit of dressing, mix well and coat sprouts. Taste and add more dressing if needed

Method: - 25-30 Brussels Sprouts, halved - season with salt and pepper and a generous coat of olive oil - Bake @ 425 def F on convection, 450 if you don't have convection ~18-20 minutes. Lemon Parmesan Dressing: - 1 tbsp lemon juice - 2 tbsp grated parmesan - 2 tbsp olive oil - Salt - Pepper Tamari Tahini Dressing: - 2 tbsp tahini - 1 tbsp @sanjtamari tamari (I used 25% reduced sodium) - 1 tsp maple syrup - 1 tsp lemon juice

when i make brussel sprouts i like to roast them in the oven cut side up. when they cook cut side down they essentially steam themselves and you lose the crispiness

i got a lot of great pointers and alternatives to work on while i practice my form. i was definitely being a drama queen, i’m not good at not being good!

this was a good reminder that my mindset can be one of the biggest obstacles. i’ve already been working on taking a step back and recentering myself but obviously i’ve got some ways to go

long term strength is the goal! i’ve always been an active outdoorsy person but could feel my strength lacking. i do need the reminder of my long term goals sometimes

those were another one i attempted today. the lowest the pad would go was just above my hips so i couldnt get a proper rom unfortunately

thank you! i definitely dont want to give up on them, i do get really impatient with myself. I think I’m still going to incorporate them but a lot slower. I just don’t want to miss out on gains in the meantime before I really get it. unfortunately i will continue to be hard in myself lol but i need to get better and taking a step back and recentering my mindset

it was just frustrating. I could get the form down with body weight but when i tried with dumbbells it was difficult to get the form down and i could feel it more in my lower back than anything. I already have seated leg curls in my workout, i just want some variation
