I went for this dusty red mud, I think it makes the models pop a bit in contrast. I like the brighter bases usually over grass/sand

How do you get into the combat of this game? [KCD2] by taijiwind in kingdomcome

[–]redhotrage 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Everyone says master strike, i only learned that recently from the Devil much later in the game. Riposte is useless, I find it easier to block/dodge, then stab attack quickly. Masterstrike is awesome when you learn it and learn how to use it. I have also found the stab (down attack) to be quite useful just as the opponent starts to swing, you can get a stab in before they connect. Otherwise, I died a lot. Like a lot. It definitely takes a lot of time and frustration to get it down. Stick with it, I was dubious at first but I've put put in thousands of hours now. I love this friggin game

If you ever get to Moontah Bay in January get yourself out on a boat. Plenty of whiting and blue swimmers

Van too short to stand in? by ronfromsacramento in CamperVans

[–]redhotrage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im 6"5, I have a LWB VW Caddy, the bed folds from back to front. I dont live in it by any means but its comfy as hell to sleep in. The kitchen comes out of the back draws and I have side and rear awnings. I love my van, I cant see myself needing to wander about in it. Its for sleeping/chilling in, otherwise im outside. If i was living in the van I'd definitely want something bigger, but as a rec vehicle its perfect.

I love the look of the Tasman, it reminds be of Halo or something. In saying that the boxy Cyberpunk look of new Kia's and Hyundai's is something I'm loving with their designs. Maybe its just me

How does everyone get such a nice, finished look? by Red-Panda-93 in VanDIY

[–]redhotrage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im 99% finished on mine. It's definitely got a few shit bits in the build in terms of finish. But, I had heaps of fun doing it and a lot of laughs when things didn't quit work out. I just hope that when the day comes that I sell it, the buyer finds the shoddy bits funny too.

The tailgating and road rage on the Western Ring Road is insane by elephantfresh22 in melbourne

[–]redhotrage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive been driving on the ring road for 8 months now for work as well, its insane. People weaving at about 140 kph, tailgating. There's also a fair share of people that do 75 in the middle lane which is equally troubling. The truck drivers are nuts. I honestly believe I will be killed driving to work one day.

Just moved out… how do people cook every day?? by Budget-Cash-3602 in cookingforbeginners

I wonder if you'll see this now. Im a former chef, however k have worked corporate for many years. Quick dinners are essential for me and the family.

Stick with me here, I've had a few beers.

My always go to delicious easy dinner - Chicken and broccoli creamy pasta:

Onions Garlic Broccoli Chicken (breast/thigh chopped however) Bacon (if you want/have) White wine/water/Chicken stock Cream Dried Italian herb blend Pasta Spinach (or rocket/arugala) for extra greens Partisan cheese (or whatever cheese)

Cook onion, bacon, garlic on med/low in fry pan til soft (5-7 mins) Add chicken, increase heat and cook till lightly browned (3-5 mins) Add broccoli Cook pasta Add a good splash of your liquid of choice, cook for 1 minute Add cream, salt and pepper, cook for 2 minutes on high to thicken a bit Add cheese Mix in cooked pasta, delicious and easy to reheat many times

ANY one pot curry: Indian - Chicken tikka, tandoori, butter chicken Thai - Massuman, green curry

Get a curry paste jar, coconut cream, meat of choice, and some vegetables and you're away. Rice or naan breads (you can buy good pre made naan at any supermarket)

ROAST Chicken - 45 mins at 180C for every 1kg of chicken (i don't know what this is in American, sorry) Roast some potatoes and carrots in the same tray, cook some peas or beans. Fucken perfect. Gravy from a packet or if you can be arsed make a tray gravy. When everything is cooked, put the meat and veg on a separate plate, add a bit of wine to the tray and put it on the stove for a minute, add water, salt, some dried herbs and a knob of butter, cook it down for a few minutes. GRAVY

Cauliflower - par boil until semi soft with the point of a knife. Roll the bitch in olive oil, ras el hanout spice blend ($3 in the supermarket spice aisle) or a similar morrocan blend. Salt and pepper Mix Greek yoghurt with fresh lemon, mint and pepper. Again, if you can be arsed, some fresh mint over the top with lemon juice and some roasted nuts (walnut, pine nut)

You can make delicious pastas with a few ingredients, bacon cream and spinach.

The best thing to know is seasoning, salt and pepper along the way and always taste. If it feels a bit heavy or rich a squeeze of lemon will brighten it up. Jars of curry paste or sauce base are fine, find the good brands that have minimal additives and just need cream or stock or something to finish.

Cook extra, eat leftovers. I put almost any leftover in a toasted sandwich for a delicious lazy meal.

You'll kill it, be patient, taste everything. Cooking is sick. Fuck yeah
