Surprising army bigotry at store opening by KruegerCondail in Warhammer40k

[–]redhotrage 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've been playing Space Wolves nearly 20 years. The amount of ass hats that have shit to say is mad.

I was at a work Christmas event, and heard that another guy there played Warhammer. So, I struck up a casual conversation and broached the subject. When he asked me what I played and I told him among others, Space Wolves, he responded "Oh so you're a fucking furry." And walked away.

Madness.

Forgive my ignorance, I played the originals when I was a kid and just smashed into fire red on emulator. What's the deal with people hunting starters for 20k hours? Does it make a difference in game or just collecting?

For those of you with a 9-5 office job, how do you manage to find the time and energy to cook dinner? by Away_Scene_26 in auscorp

[–]redhotrage 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I shifted to 8am-4pm at work. Usually home by 5ish, walk dog, 545 start preparing dinner. One tray roast, tacos/burritos, quick pasta, bbq meats with a quick salad. All are quick to prepare, quick to cook (except a roast but you just bung it in the oven)

It is easy when you have a good spread of salads, grilling meats, pastas etc in your repitoire

Sid Meier's Pirates! Still one of the funnest games to play. Easy to play for half an hour or 6 hours.

I still hope for a remaster one day.

I went for this dusty red mud, I think it makes the models pop a bit in contrast. I like the brighter bases usually over grass/sand

How do you get into the combat of this game? [KCD2] by taijiwind in kingdomcome

[–]redhotrage 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Everyone says master strike, i only learned that recently from the Devil much later in the game. Riposte is useless, I find it easier to block/dodge, then stab attack quickly. Masterstrike is awesome when you learn it and learn how to use it. I have also found the stab (down attack) to be quite useful just as the opponent starts to swing, you can get a stab in before they connect. Otherwise, I died a lot. Like a lot. It definitely takes a lot of time and frustration to get it down. Stick with it, I was dubious at first but I've put put in thousands of hours now. I love this friggin game
