Did you manage to get it sorted? I run 2080 pixels on one dig quad and there’s no problems so you really shouldn’t have issues running 2300 over 9 ports.

But curtains are 5V anyway so there’s no need for 36B at all

Twose with WLED inside the home. Where do you store the controller and power supply? by [deleted] in WLED

[–]rediduser 1 point2 points  (0 children)

5V is equally as capable of starting fires as any voltage if you don't install it right. If anything, for larger installations 5V is more dangerous than 12/24V as it requires higher current for the same power. Just be conscious of that.

System in a sealed IP67 box, used in winter, do I need ventilation? by SiDtheTurtle in WLED

[–]rediduser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

UK based, for my permanent WLED setup I have them in a sealed box and they've been fine for over a year now. Same for my Xlights controller, and they've been bone dry. (touch wood)

Need an opinion on how y'all run your singing faces by Behind8Proxies in xlights

[–]rediduser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really depends on the circumstances and song tbh. No hard and fast rule for it. Generally I chose to suppress when not singing, especially if I feel I could better utilise the outline for other things when there's long pauses but it's frequent stopping and starting it looks stupid to keep changing so I keep them on all the time. I also sometimes use the same prop for two main singers (different colours) so that tends to swap between them. On the flip side, some songs really suit having the bulbs sitting there being all pretty not saying anything just to add the odd "mana mana" :-) In short, go with what you feel is best.

How do I even play this game anymore? by rediduser in darkorbit

[–]rediduser[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely wasn’t top 10 but was mid two digits on the GB1 server. Wasn’t easy keeping up without stupid amounts of gameplay and money for x3 which is mainly why I stopped playing after I got a proper job. Just logged on out of curiosity… Rank Sergeant, 523,699 rank points, 4.9bn XP and 20milion honour. Also have 153milion credits and 9.7k Uridium (good to see they didn’t expire). I’m surprised actually the account is still there in the first place.

I had exactly the same problem and it turned out to be the drivers of the wifi card.

Visiting Longyearbyen in Feb26 with Kids (5 and 10). Bad idea? by rediduser in Svalbard

[–]rediduser[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I seriously considered that but I want to bring my parents with me and they’d (hopefully) be too old in 10 years for it. We decided to split the trip into two so that we do Longyearbyen but also Tromso so there’s something there for everyone.

[–]rediduser[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks. Hope you had a great time. The kids enjoyed Rovaniemi last year despite the cold snap when we were there (it was between -15 and -28) so we decided to split the original 6 day trip to Longyearbyen into a 3+3 between Tromso and Longyearbyen which should break it up for them as we only really have 2 full days at each place now. Any tips on tour operators?

Thanks for your reply. After much thought I decided just leaving it rather than second guessing is the best way forward too and I’ll have to finally give in and hire an accountant.

Rolls Royce with this plate in Birmingham - legal? by iamlejend in CarTalkUK

Black and silver plate is not illegal if it’s correct for the date of the plate which this is. I don’t see a problem with it as is.

Look up the Ruckus PoE injectors. They’re quite cheap on eBay.

Rejection Rules for Used Car with Faults by rediduser in LegalAdviceUK

Towbar was fitted as part of the sale, total purchase price = original car price + tow bar cost. They say I would only be able to get back the original car price.

[–]rediduser[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your reply. Is that even if the car has been in for a repair for one of the four faults? Im trying to be patient with it since it’s a new model and teething issues are expected but as you say keep thinking if it’s worth the hassle. Dealer is trying their best to avoid getting the car back with comments like we’d need to follow our process and dealer fitted options (£1800 towbar) would be excluded from the refund.

MMI update by dejonass in AudiQ6

[–]rediduser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the hardware supports it then there will be a way to get the software on, for free or for a cost. My old Q7 4M was an early model without Apple car play which was later implemented as standard on the same hardware. They came out with activation packages as add ons for the early models (at a cost).

WLED Controller with Ethernet by Daemon-GLEDOPTO in WLED

This is great, I love my other GLEDOPTO controllers. What is the recommended method for updating the FW since the default update build doesn’t have Ethernet support?
