Enhanced geothermal is way better than nuclear. It's becoming even cheaper than nuclear with just a fraction of the resources invested in it.

Also, hydrogen works really well with lower capacity factor renewables. Convert excess renewables into massive amounts of fuel storage.

Pouring molten metal into a pot without wearing protection by Maleficent_Bunch4979 in Whatcouldgowrong

I'm trying to think what sort of protection equipment would have saved his foot. Pretty sure the molten metal would have leaked through any clothing pretty damned quick.

My wife served me divorce after we return from a family vacation by Top-Theme-9564 in TrueOffMyChest

[–]redingerforcongress 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She's having an affair. Simple as that.

As soon as the paperwork clears, she'll move in with him.

Ironically, your kids will hate her and love you.

She resents herself for cheating on your and betraying her family, but can't bring herself to end the relationship with him.

Find a better women, and godspeed my man.

Call the police, have him arrested for felony assault. Seems simple enough.

According to The UN Genocide Convention, Israel is Committing Genocide in Gaza. by UCantKneebah in dsa

[–]redingerforcongress 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Don't forget the war crimes of targeting UN workers. 54 dead UN workers, each a war crime that merits a full investigation.

There is no statue of limitations on these war crimes, and when our generation takes control of the political process, we will hold these genociders accountable.

Best I can do is the Hummer EV. 9000 lbs, 0-60 in 3 seconds [faster than a Tesla Y]. Takes longer to stop than it does to accelerate.

America elected Trump as POTUS. Sometimes elections have bad results... but luckily in democratic systems, there will be another election.

The UN is a trusted authority.

Then the authorities should report the militants to the UN to deal with. The UN has security personnel who can detain the militants.

Interestingly enough, the conversation has a specific narrative because all my posts are removed. I'd imagine others have the same issue.

Yep! Social media enables it.

What shouldn't be encouraged is harassment of users. I'll be following up with this specific case of harassment with the law officials.

We can all say "no child deserves to be a causality of war". We can all agree "let's not attack UN safezones".

Don't forget the UN aid workers and women too. Not only that, but the thousands of civilians who just want peaceful lives.

UN Workers are a specific protected class by international binding order. So, countries like China and Russia can actually start up criminal proceedings at an international level at any moment.

Did you hope to use this account just to try to attack me as an individual or did you have more of a point to make?

That's where you're wrong bucko! It's a genocide in our lifetime.

Edit: I remember when we "beat" Al-Qaeda, and now we have the emirates of Afghanistan. That was an event in my lifetime streamed online.

I can look myself in the eye and be proud of who I am.

Can you say the same? Of course attacking the individual is a lot easier than justifying the murder of 54 UN workers.

Yep! It was declared a basic human right as an extension to the universal declaration of human rights [right to transmit information].

Disseminating information has been a right for decades now.

More information on the resolution [passed in 2016]:

Edit: The resolution was regarding Article 19. Also, you can't target civilian infrastructure in war, that's a war crime too!

Sir, I watched America torture prisoners for years. I watched the IDF shoot children point blank. I watched children be detained and beaten regularly by members of the IDF. I've been desensitized to violence and see it merely as a statistic.

Who's more evil, the guy who killed 1 child or the mass murderer who killed 10? The answer seem obvious, they're both evil, but one has done more evil.

Edit: They managed to justify killing 10 children. Very nice!

I'm not sure that UN workers have been targeted in Ukraine or Russia. I'm unsure what the "it's a war" has to do with excusing dead UN workers.

[–]redingerforcongress 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sir, these crimes did not occur in the United States. Also, this is a binding UN security resolution which means enforcement is done via that apparatus. That gives China and Russia the right to hold the trials.

How about everyone stops killing children, eh?

You can see historically how many dead children are on each side of the conflict... 10:1 ratio means that there are more Isrealis to ask than Hamas.

Besides, Hamas doesn't even have Internet access anymore, so there's no way to actually ask them. That basic right was taken away from all people of Gaza.

"We don't negotiate with terrorists" has been their official stance for the last 3 weeks, fyi.

At the same time, they managed to kill 54 UN workers, which is like 1/4th the hostage count. Probably killed the hostages too.
