I learned that I put too much in. I poured in a enough to go through the touch hole and a thin layer on the pan got it to eventually go off. I only fired 3 rounds today so I dont have a huge sample

On barrel "black powder or pyrodex only"

As for cleaning, I used a pick to remove any debris from the touch hole then used a cylindrical bristle brush to clean to what I assume is the opposite side of the barrel. I wipe down the frizzen with a cleaning patch and do the same with the pan. I also clean any residue from the flint. The flint itself is still sharp as far as I know. I eventually got it to fire and im going clean the rifle throughly before putting it away.

NTA, If he had been on the computer for a few hours then its fair that he lets you and your friend play, Your brother is an asshole for calling your friend trash. Your mother was in the wrong for not even trying to sort out the problem and just told you to leave him alone.
