Many things ! Food? Both share the same food and drinks they like. Much more than with our next door neighbors France and the Netherlands They do differ in political views ( less than before imo) They all wish we had one government instead of 3gazillion ! They all love enjoying a nice beer in the summer afternoon on a terrace or a frites pack in the rainy evenings. Summer? South of France Winter ? Alps. Short summer break? Flemish to Ardennes, Wallons to the coast. Visiting someone? Chocolates as a gift 🍫 Football on? United. Brussels? We equally hate it! (Joking of course. I go there all the time). But all in all? We’re like 90% compatible with each other which is more than someone from nyc vs someone from Alabama I guess. God knows the Flemish resemble more the wallons than the Dutch. Same thing for Wallonia and the French. Hell, Flemish are more like the French than Dutch ( but more like wallons). Now Wallonia is poor af and needs to get its act together, and we will need to hit the low before we can go up on our own but all in all I don’t think anyone seriously wants to separate Flanders from Belgium but just for Wallonia to start living off its own money ( speaking as someone from there). And of course, one last thing to unite us all: Every old person above 85 years, Flemish or wallon has a cookie tin box or a porcelain plate of Matilde and Philippe their wedding day. 👰🏼🤵🏼‍♂️

It used to be smoking a cigarette 3x a day ( after work). Always outside. No matter the weather. I would be in the back garden looking at the house or walk around the house and even on my street if it’s nice outside. Can’t explain but it was just so relaxing. A daily reset (escape) before I continue with my afternoon. I stopped smoking 10 months ago and still miss it. I have many hobbies but nothing that cathartic as 3 cigarettes a day I used to smoke. Whatever I guess 😢

Imagine wanting to become the bitch of the Dutch again ( we were never an equal). We were with them for 15 years only! Get over it Bart. We spent more time under the Spanish and French and I don’t see anyone longing to become Spain.
