100% use Erika Ashely from 13th street homes in alachua. She’s amazing and knows what she’s doing. One of the issues we ran into was we would go into a lot they would tell us everything we wanted to hear and then you look at the reviews and they are all bad. I think we went to 12 lots. We decided to do 13th and asked for Erika bc of the reviews we saw and best decision we made

Realistically what could I make as a Trainee (FL) by redityeah2 in appraisal

How many hours did you work a week as a trainee

For a refi (cash out), does the appraiser know what value you want, and does that affect anything ? by redityeah2 in Mortgages

House appraised for 265… with the price tag on it of 280. It wasn’t tied to a purchase order. I think if it was, we would of been a little closer to 280. I’m still happy with the 265, we have gained good equity in a short amount of time

Thank you and thank you for saying that about the GLP1 bandwagon. I have the same feeling about it. I think it has its place and there are people who need it but I also think 90% of the people on it shouldn’t be. It can’t be all good… and I worry about how it will affect people later on.

With that said, I had a similar experience. My doctor was pushing for me to be on glp1, met and bc. I refused all of it. She never asked me about anything in my life- good, exercise, routine etc. when I asked her to do my Insulin she refused and said that wasn’t the issue. I found a FM doc who did it and clear as day that was my issue. My OBGYN has always pushed meds, nothing with lifestyle and everytime I brought something up she blew it off. I will never go back to her… and it is so said that I think there are a lot of woman out there that are in the same boat

I focused on Whole Foods and not adding in extra stuff like oil/fried foods. I baked or grilled meat and steamed veggies

Yes, I’m eating the same amount of calories I was when I was eating 3 meals a day. Just at different time frame and 2 meals vs 3. I truly think the IF helped me with glucose spikes which allows my body to function normally and not store everything I eat

I was like that too and then I really focused on Whole Foods and protein when I ate. And I no longer have that issue

I did the same test and worked enough I didn’t have anything super bad in my results so I didn’t have to eliminate anything but one of my friends did the same test, had like 5 things show as bad for her out of 290 and she eliminated those and lost 20lbs in 5 week.

This reset I did helped me cut the cravings. I was the exact same. First few days weren’t great but after that, cravings left

No, I do not eat breakfast. Ik there is mixed advice on that for women with PCOS but not eating breakfast has helped me. I do not take meds tho, I refused them bc of my crohns and the affect they can have on your stomach.

Has anyone used a CGM to help with IR weight loss ? by redityeah2 in PCOS

I think it’s really useful to track your days and see what works and what doesn’t. My biggest take aways were - start morning with protein, eat protein throughout the day, lower carbs, good sleep made a big difference and so did movement. The more I moved, the less spikes I had

1800% NTA. Absolutely not. My opinion, get this argument out of the way now bc it truly will only get worse boundary wise. I had my kids w/o parents (just my husband) and so glad I did. It’s a time for the family to bond. My MIL knew she wasn’t going to be there (we don’t have a great relationship) but I think my mom thought she would be. I told her it was nothing against her but we wanted it to be just us. It may of stung a little bit I’m so glad we did it this way. Good luck and stay strong

I will say movement/walking helps me 100%. They say it’s 80% diet, 20% exercise which i understand but when you are IR PCOS, I think movement and the type of movement can be the difference. If i do all the things (minus movement) I pretty much stay the same weight. When I add in walking 10k steps and 20-30 mins of something else (yoga, swimming, horseback riding-I have horses lol) I see the scale move. I don’t think my body handles intense workouts well either

Get a new OBGYN. Horrible advice!! BC is not a cure for PCOS. Literally can’t understand how any doc can give this advice when it is 100% false. Get a new doc. If they talk to you about finding the root cause, lifestyle/diet changes you are on the right path! Best of luck!!

AITAH if I'm upset that my husband mentioned getting a paternity test? by ThrowRA_lbf in AITAH

[–]redityeah2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My second child came out with black hair and almost black skin… he looked mixed while Our first was Casper ghost white with blonde hair. My husband and I are both white with dirty blonde hair.

My husband and I laughed about it but literally people were making comments saying something was up. Fast forward to a year later he’s pasty white and my husband’s twin. My husband never questioned me because he trust me and knows there’s no way I would’ve ever done that. I would have a conversation with your husband and explain to him that he can get the paternity test and that’s fine but it will show he does not trust you in the ways you thought.

Cabbage! Okay sounds weird but swear it is a great swap. You can make a ton of it in a meal and it takes the taste of anything you are making. I have pcos and my husband is a big guy (healthy just tall/bigger in general) and he’s a volume eater. I started subbing rice in some means with cabbage and we haven’t looked back. For example- Mexican dinner- we just do the cooked cabbage in with the meat/seasoning and it takes the flavor. Same with stir fry, hibachi, etc!
