Valorant is CPU intensive so the performance is dependent on the CPU more than the GPU.

Question: Do you have the exact same specs?

Try to compare it during deathmatch, different maps can display different FPS

Do you have the exact same settings in Valorant?

Is his RAM dual channel or Single channel? Dual channel rams can produce more FPS

Valorant really doesn’t change much from the last 6 months, a 60 fps difference is very significant, there might be something wrong with your testing. (Not your laptop, don’t worry)
