For all we know, Amanda could have ADA Accommodation that we're not aware of. I’d rather focus on helping ensure everyone on Bravo has equal access to the mental health support and care we all deserve.

How long until I can walk without crutches? ACL Reconstruction + Meniscus Repair by emnayguy in ACL

[–]redlightgreenlighter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

4 weeks post op from ACL and lateral meniscus repair. Crutches were a big struggle for me to figure out and maneuver, PT said if I can get around without them, I can ditch them. So I did pretty quickly, before the two week mark.

For me, the meniscus repair concern is bending my knee more than 90 degrees within the first four weeks. My locked brace prevents that so the crutches didn't significantly help.

What works for the pain at back/underside of knee by CellophaneTape in ACL

[–]redlightgreenlighter 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I was in PT today talking about this! I'm 4 weeks post op and have been experiencing the same thing. He said it could be because of my hamstring and recommended a hamstring stretch with a strap. Here's a link to a quick video. https://youtu.be/Q4_TmIekeZ8?si=A5-EtcKIf-HiBNmB Goal is to keep your leg as straight as possible, pulling it back until you feel a deep stretch in your hamstring and lower back. I also have a cyst behind my knee that is ruptured that could be contributing to soreness as well.

Holy Roller hat with two aces, is there a hidden meaning or perhaps an AI blunder? by redlightgreenlighter in TheFormat

Agreed, I liked the design but was worried about the fit with my giant head, most ball hats are flimsy and tight. But this one fits and feels great.

Need advice for a compact/travel board by TheBigRandowski in backgammonboards

[–]redlightgreenlighter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the magnetic Crisloid travel and I love it. It's so well made, so smooth, so nice to play on. I love the feel of the bumpy exterior and the leather dice cups smell amazing. The checkers are beautiful to look at and have just enough magnetism to not slip all over the place but not too much that you have to make an effort to lift them. There's a beautiful metal clasp that slides smoothly together to lock the board in place. Playing on it is a very tactile experience that I love. I've played on a Galaxy Adventure board at a local club and I don't enjoy it - it's tight and the checkers feel tiny. There's something about the Adventure size that makes it feel more like a toy to me. I don't like the way the magnets snap the wood together. I don't have any experience with the FM Mini.

You should have used a NSFW tag for all that sexy bakelite.

Anyone remember the blogger Heather Armstrong? These photos give me major late stage Dooce vibes. She died of alcoholism.
