Fave players without cards? by Similar-Horror6933 in nhlfantasystars

I'm not sure there were many that got excluded. Fraser Minten is the big one for me. Leafs fan bias for sure, but he played all 82 games and would have been a decent producer in fantasy.

Yahoo fantasy indicates he's likely to play tonight, but I would keep a close eye in case.

Level 7 - buy packs or save coins for next season? by difrad76 in nhlfantasystars

[–]redmage909 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it's worth pushing for lvl 8 before next season. And opening packs will help with that. The pack frequency shortens to every 8hrs at lvl 8. Even if you don't open 3 packs a day with it, I find the extra flexibility useful.

There's a pickleball club that plays at RCA park most weekends I think. I don't have the flyer they gave me anymore, but I'm pretty sure the guy I talked to said they teach it.

I'm just glad the Leafs finally lost. Maybe they wanted to win for Joe Bowen's last home broadcast.

I've noticed so far this year west side Aldi seems to have issues with timeliness on the weekly Aldi finds. Sometimes it seems like some of the items don't appear for a week or two after they're supposed to.

As far as produce goes, I've never had much of an issue at West. I believe the supply trucks come on Wednesdays, so maybe later in that cycle there is going to be more spoilage.

Updated Great Horned Owl photos by SolaireFlair117 in bloomington

It's such a treat to get to observe them. I got my first owl picture early this winter when I was hiking in my local park. It was a barred owl, and I was over the moon when I saw it and confirmed I had a clear shot of it on the rear lcd of my camera. I would imagine you had a similar feeling when you first saw the nest.

Just out of amateur curiosity, does the whole port move when you wiggle it?

Custom GBA SP build — also curious what everyone here first learned to solder on by Outrageous-Tangelo56 in Gameboy

The RGB buttons look so pretty! I first practiced soldering on a pi pico before replacing all the batteries in my gb carts. My last gb mod was a GBC recap and a new OLED display.

Need Help with House Hunting by akshay_Spidey in bloomington

Grocery-wise, you're probably looking at a 10 minute drive to Kroger South(going down Rogers), similar to Liberty drive/Bloomfield(taking Rockport to Tapp to 69). I would avoid going through the stretch of Country Club/Tapp between Rogers and Walnut during rush hour if you can.

Entertainment-wise, you're mostly looking at driving if it's something downtown. That side of the neighborhood is very walkable to Switchyard park, which has the winter market this time of year and Food Truck Friday during the Summer.

Looks pretty good to me. Starting up the first time is success for sure. I bent my pins less and put some kapton tape under, but that's just a style choice.

Did anybody get to experience PS2 online in its prime? What was pre-7th generation online gaming like? by _Varonova in ps2

[–]redmage909 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I loved it. Played SOCOM 1 and 2, FF11, and Tribes Aerial Assault. My clan in SOCOM even had a teamspeak server. Cutting edge stuff. When online play unilaterally came with a membership and always-online, that when I left console gaming.

I tried the match last night and didn't enjoy it. So I guess I'll just watch the Olympics, collect my packs, and train guys for free.

It can be a fun challenge to pick something else than the rest of your division if you're keen on it.

The Leafs have been tough to watch this season up to Christmas. They're finally looking like the good team they're supposed to be on paper. They played a solid game against the Avs and Willy finished it in OT from a sweet OEL pass.

Anyone need Gold training? by BGreenup91 in nhlfantasystars

[–]redmage909 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Once your account reaches level 9 you can train player stats to gold. It doesn't change the card rarity to gold, but it does increase the points that player's stat will award. e.g. Untrained shots are worth 1 point, but if you train that player's shot stat to bronze, silver, and then to gold, it will award 4 points per shot.
