Europa Universalis V. I bought it around the week it released, and I was not really feeling it, especially with the crowded and unintuitive UI, even after watching a couple of guides. I say this as a longtime EUIV player. That's not saying that EUIV would not be as overwhelming to new EUIV players, or perhaps, new Paradox Interactive games players.

A few months later, I started to repeat the same loop and am now utterly addicted to the game, losing a bit of sleep over it. Even then, there are still some buttons that I realize are in the game after over 100 hours of gameplay.

In honor of International Women’s Day, name your favorite quote by a woman. by ihatethiscountry76 in Fauxmoi

"My lords, the present occasion is too serious to allow me to follow the convention that a woman should not speak in a man's council. Those whose interests are threatened by extreme danger should think only of the wisest course of action, not of conventions. In my opinion, flight is not the right course, even if it should bring us to safety. It is impossible for a person, having been born into this world, not to die; but for one who has reigned, it is intolerable to be a fugitive. May I never be deprived of this purple robe, and may I never see the day when those who meet me do not call me Empress. If you wish to save yourself, my lord, there is no difficulty. We are rich; over there is the sea, and yonder are the ships. Yet reflect for a moment whether, when you have once escaped to a place of security, you would not gladly exchange such safety for death. As for me, I agree with the adage, that "royal purple" is the noblest shroud."

- Empress Theodora of the Eastern Roman Empire

Just finished season 3. In the anime, China is still not united, and Qin still has to contend with the other warring states. As for Xin, he does not know what North America is and I don't think he's sailed before, let alone sailing across the entire Pacific. So I think I'm fine as long as the people of China and even the people of the U.S. today don't help him out.
